It was only 6am when Rory and Logan's new alarm clock (aka Abigail) woke them up. Rory started to get up but Logan stopped her. "You have stitches in a place that nobody should ever have stitches. I'll get her" if he didn't already feel guilty about Rory having to go through 9 months of pregnancy, almost 20 hours of labor, and actually giving birth to a human, he definitely felt bad about the stitches. Logan got a bottle ready before getting Abigail out of the bassinet that she slept in, next to Rory and Logan's bed. He got back into bed to feed her. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine. A little sore" Rory said. She was actually feeling a lot better than she expected.

A couple of minutes later the bedroom door slowly opened and in walked Millie. She climbed up into the bed and crawled over to Logan "hi Abby" she kissed the baby's head. "Hi daddy. Hi mama"

"Come here, baby" Rory said. Millie crawled into Rory's arms and Rory kissed the top of her head. "Did you sleep well?" She was a little worried about Millie being woken up when Abby cried in the middle of the night.

Millie nodded

"Good, I'm glad"

Abigail was born on Wednesday. Lorelai stayed until Saturday. The original plan was for her to stay for a week, but there was a problem at the inn and she had to go home. Millie didn't go to preschool on Thursday or Friday. Partly because Rory was still in the hospital and Millie didn't want to leave her, and partly because Rory was worried that Millie would think her parents had a baby and forgot about her.

"Can I play with Ethan and Evan after school today?" Millie asked. Ethan and Evan were Melissa's twin boys.

Logan and Rory looked at each other.

"I will talk talk to Melissa and we'll see" Rory said.

They hung out in Rory and Logan's bed for a little while until it was time to get Millie ready for school.

"What do you want in your hair?" Rory asked. Millie was sitting on the bathroom counter, next to the sink, getting ready to brush her teeth.

"Like you" Millie said

Rory's hair was in a not so neat bun, on top of her head. She pulled Millie's hair into a neat version of the bun.

"Alright, I'm done" Rory said "how are those teeth?"

Millie turned around and showed Rory her teeth "I got em all"

"Good" Rory kissed her forehead "do you need help getting dressed?" Sometimes Millie could dress herself and sometimes she needed help. It depended on what she was trying to put on.

"I can do it" Millie said. She hopped off the counter and ran into her room. Rory made her way downstairs where Logan was making breakfast. Abby was in a bassinet next to the table.

"Getting one of those things for downstairs was a genius idea" Logan said

"Told you" Rory said as she sat down in the chair, closest to Abigail

"Daddy, can I hold Abby?" Millie asked as she walked into the kitchen

"Why don't you eat your breakfast first and then we'll see if we have time before school"

A little while later, Logan and Millie are walking from the car to her classroom.

"-and unicorns!" Millie said. She was telling Logan about her birthday. Her birthday wasn't for over 3 months, he had no idea why she was talking about it.

"Oh yeah?" Logan smiled

"Yeah. And marshmallows, and monkeys, and butterflies!"

"Sounds good, princess" Logan chuckled
