Rory and Logan were sitting in the Gilmore's living room, with Millie in between them.
"So, the wedding is on Christmas?" Emily asked after Lorelai told them about her wedding plans.
"No" Lorelai said "it's on New Year's Eve"
"The way you explained that was very confusing" Richard said
Lorelai just shrugged. "Hey, how's that baby?"
"Baby's great" Rory said "speaking of which, these are you" she handed Emily and Richard each a small envelope. Lorelai knew the baby was a girl, but they hadn't told the rest of their families. Inside each envelope was a sonogram picture with the words 'baby girl Huntzberger' written on it in pink letters.
As Rory was handing Emily the envelope, something else caught her eye. "What is that?"
Rory hadn't told her grandparents, Christopher, or Logan's parents, that she and Logan got engaged. She wasn't hiding it, she just wanted to tell them in person, but then a month had passed since it happened and she kinda forgot that she didn't tell them. "Uh..."
"Did you get engaged?" Emily asked, excitedly
Rory and Logan glanced at each other.
"Yes" Rory said "but before you get all excited. We aren't getting married anytime soon"
"Why not?" Emily asked
"For starters, we're about to have a baby" Rory said "then we're gonna need some time to adjust"
"That's reasonable" Lorelai said "right mom?"
"I guess engaged is still an improvement" Emily said
"What's engaged?" Millie asked
"It means that me and daddy are gonna get married" Rory told her
"What's married?"
"Um..." Rory tried to think of how to explain marriage to a 3 year old.
"It's like promising to love each other forever" Logan said
"Why?"
"Because we want to" Logan said. What does she mean, why?
"Why?"
"Because we love each other"
"Why?"
Lorelai and Luke couldn't help but laugh
"I'm out" Logan said
"Because when you get someone pregnant twice, it's pretty hard not to fall in love with them" Lorelai said
"Mom!" Rory laughed and rolled her eyes
"Well, it's true isn't it?"
"I would just like to reiterate that Millie and baby girl are not the reason we're getting married" Rory said
"Baby girl?" Emily asked
"Oh, you never opened the envelope"
Emily tore open her envelope. "It's a girl?"
"It's a girl" Rory nodded
"You're going to be very outnumbered" Richard said
"That's what I said!" Lorelai said
"Great minds think alike"

"How far along are you now?" Christopher asked. On Saturday Logan went to see his parents, Rory and Logan hadn't seen them since telling them she was pregnant, and Rory really didn't wanna see them so instead she took Millie to see her dad.
