"Rory Gilmore, will you marry me?"
"What do you think?"
Logan put his hand on Rory's cheek and kissed her deeply.
"Not yet though" Rory said. "I wanna wait until we're settled in with the new baby to start planning a wedding"
"That's fine. Wait right here" he said and ran upstairs
Rory sat there for a minute, confused, until Logan came back down with a ring box.
"Where did that come from?" Rory asked. She definitely wasn't expecting Logan to just have an engagement ring lying around.
"I bought this ring for you, a little over 4 years ago. This is ring I was gonna propose to you with, when we found out you were pregnant"
Rory knew that he'd planned on proposing but up until that moment what happened to the ring had never crossed her mind. "You still have this?"
"No..." he took her left hand in his and skipped the ring into her finger "you have this"
Rory just smiled and shook her head.
"What? Oh come on, that was good!"
"Come here" Rory put her hand on Logan's cheek, pulling him closer, to kiss him again.

"What is that?" Melissa grabbed Rory's hand as she walked by her desk the next day.
"How do you- wha-" Rory stammered. Rory was just walking past Melissa's desk, how did she notice something so small?
"Were you wearing this yesterday? When did you get engaged?" Melissa asked
"About 12 hours ago"
"Congratulations!"
"Thank you" Rory smiled "No wedding yet though. Baby first, then we can worry about wedding plans"
"Speaking of baby..." Melissa said. She was hoping that Rory would be ready to tell her if it was a boy or a girl.
"Girl"
"Yes! Another girl! We need girls"
"I have a girl. Not that I'm upset that the baby's a girl, I wouldn't been happy either way but-"
"Not you. Our little mom group" Melissa said. Rory and Melissa had 2 other friends with kids the same age. Carrie, who had a son, Caleb. And Alyssa, who had a son, Andrew. Melissa's kids were also all boys. "Millie's the only girl"
"Well, now she's not" Rory said
"What does she think about you guys getting married?"
"We didn't tell her" Rory said. Millie was only 3. She didn't know what married meant, and she wasn't aware that her parents relationship was any different than her friends' parents. Nothing was really gonna change when Rory and Logan got married. "She doesn't know what that means, and nothing's gonna change when we get married. We'll explain it to her when we're closer to actually getting married, but in the meantime she doesn't really need to know"
Meanwhile...
"Mr Huntzberger!" Someone ran to catch up with Logan as he walked through the office
"What is it, Alex?" Logan asked
"What do you want me to do with this?" Alex asked as he handed Logan a folder
Logan looked through the folder for a minute "give it to Steve, tell him I want it back by tomorrow"
