In may, Rory and Logan went to Australia for Finn's wedding. He still lived in New York, and so did his fiancé, but they were both from Australia so they wanted to get married there. The wedding was also child free, which meant that Lorelai came to stay with the girls.

"Avery has to be dropped off at school between 8:30 and 9. Amelia and Abigail need to be there by 8:30, so you take them first. The older 2 get picked up at 2 and Avery gets picked up at 2:20. And the gymnastics schedule changed since they're done competing for the year. They have practice from 3 to 5:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. And Amelia has an extra practice on Saturday from 9am to noon" Rory explained the schedules. "Avery goes to bed at 7, Abigail at 8, Amelia at 9. You're gonna hate me, but everyone gets up at 7. Amelia can get herself ready, but she might decide that she wants help with her hair. The other 2 can get themselves dressed but need you to do their hair. No nuts in lunches. Amelia's phone stays home, it can't go to school, and she needs to turn it off when Abigail goes to bed, but she knows that and usually does it without us telling her. What an I forgetting?"

"Nothing" Amelia said "you're stressed for no reason"

"When was the last time we left you guys for more than a few hours?" Rory asked

"How long is date night?" Amelia asked. Rory and Logan had date night once a week, while a babysitter stayed with the girls.

"Not more than a few hours"

"Oh"

"That's not stressed about nothing. The only time you were left overnight was when your sisters were being born" Rory said. "That took a little longer than overnight"

Amelia giggled

"I wouldn't laugh if I were you" Lorelai said "you took the longest"

"Really?" Amelia asked

"23 hours" Rory said

"Ouch" Amelia grimaced

"It was worth it" Rory said and kissed the top of Amelia's head. "Why don't you go finish your homework?"

Amelia went upstairs

"How much does she know about that?" Lorelai asked

"About what?"

"The 23 hours"

"Oh. A lot more than I did at 10" Rory said. "Like a lot. but she's in school with kids that are older than her, and next year she'll be in middle school and kids will be making gross sex jokes. I'd rather she about hear it from us first. And before her health teacher tries to instill the whole 'wait until marriage' thing in her. That's a load of crap and everyone knows it. I'd rather she know how it actually goes before her school tries to shelter her from it"

"A lot of teen pregnancy could be prevented with better sex-Ed" Lorelai said

"Yup"

"I don't care what anyone says, 15 hours is way too long to spend on a plane" Rory said as she and Logan walked into their hotel room in Australia. As soon as they walked into the room she flopped onto the bed.

"Oh no you don't" Logan said. He grabbed her hand and pulled her to sit up. There was a 17 hour time difference between California. They had 2 days to adjust before  the wedding. "Fight the jet lag"

"Sleep" Rory turned and buried her face in the pillows

"Ace, come on" Logan sat on the edge of the bed and put his hand on her hip. "It's 7:30 in the morning, if you go to sleep it's gonna make jet lag worse"
