Part 15

"Do we have enough chairs?" Logan asked

"We're 14 people, but Abigail obviously doesn't need a chair. So we need 13" Rory said "we have the 6 dining room chairs, and 4 kitchen chairs. That's 10"

"I'll get some folding chairs from the garage" Logan said "how did your mom get everyone to come here, anyway?"

"Jess and Sarah live in Seattle, so it's actually easier for them to come here. I don't actually know where Liz and TJ live but I know that they were gonna need to fly to Connecticut anyway, so I guess it's not too big a deal for them to come here instead. My grandparents are dying to meet Abigail so of course they're gonna say yes, and then it's just my mom, April and Luke"

"Should I be concerned that your ex boyfriend is having thanksgiving dinner at our house?" Logan asked jokingly.

"Very funny" Rory smiled and rolled her eyes.

"I thought so" Logan said "so when does everyone get here?"

"My mom, Luke, April, and my grandparents land tomorrow. Everyone else won't be here until Thursday" Rory said. It was Tuesday.

After making sure there was enough space for everyone to sit, Rory and Logan snuggled up on the couch to watch a move since Millie was still at school and Abigail was asleep. Rory was leaning against Logan and he had his arm around her. Not very long into the movie Rory fell asleep. Logan just let her sleep until it was almost time to go pick up Millie. Rory had been given the green light by her doctor that morning, meaning that she could go back to doing everything she did before. Millie had been asking for 6 weeks when Rory was gonna pick her up from school, and Rory was happy to finally be able to again.

"Rory" Logan whispered

"Mmm?"

"It's almost 3" he told her "do you want me to get Millie?"

"No. She's been asking me when I'll pick her up again" Rory said. She didn't tell Millie that she was picking her up because she didn't want her to be upset in case the doctor didn't clear her. "I just have to get dressed and then I'm gonna go"

"Ok"

Rory stood in the hallway, outside of Millie's classroom. She watched Millie walk out and get really excited when she realized who was there to pick her up.

"Mommy!" Millie Ram over to Rory and hugged her.

"Hi baby!" Rory crouched down to hug her and kissed her cheek. "Did you have a good day?"

"I like when you pick me up" Millie said. That wasn't the question, but ok.

"Well, I like picking you, so it works out well, doesn't it?"

Millie nodded.

"Come on, let's go home"

The next day Logan and Rory both went to pick up Lorelai, Luke, April, Richard, and Emily from the airport. They both had to go because they didn't have enough room in each car otherwise. That also meant that both kids had to go with them.

Rory took Millie and Logan took Abigail. They stood in the airport, waiting for everyone to come out of the terminal.

"When are they getting here?" Millie asked

"They're at baggage claim" Rory told her. "They should be out in a few minutes"

"Can I let go?" Millie asked. Logan was holding Millie's hand and Rory was holding Abby.

"No" Rory and Logan both said. It was the day before thanksgiving which meant it was super crowded in the airport. It also meant that Rory and Logan were extra nervous about Millie getting lost.
