(A/n: everyday I think about breaking the 4th wall and trolling everyone.)
"Of course it's you..."
"I guess I'm just always gonna be a nerd at heart! You'd know all about that."

Fuck!
I scrambled to pick up my backpack that slipped off down the stairwell, dumping all of its contents onto the floor. Kids walked around me as I apologized for the inconvenience, picking up my books and pencils and shoving them back into my bag.
Awesome! Day one and I'm already a complete mess. I love high school!
This morning I woke up to something strange in the air, when I tasted the water on my nightstand it felt bitter, and very old. When I got out of my bed, I tripped over the mess of clothing I left on the ground from last night. In that very moment I knew, today was going to be a bad day...
Everything was wrong, everything felt wrong.
"So?" Avery came knocking at my door, holding a banana. She was leaning against my door frame, peeling the fruit. Patiently waiting for me I guess.
"What?"
"You promised you'd tell me what's going on." She says, taking a small bite out of her day old banana. Often for breakfast when mom and dad left home early for work, we'd be left to fend for ourselves and these were the kinds of snacks we had laying around.
I mean seriously? Who actually has time in the morning to make a whole meal then eat it? Not us that's for sure.
"Right..."
"So."
"Aisha and my newer friend story kind of convinced me to tell Hawk that I was into him. Over a couple of drinks..."
"Holy shit! That's big for you! So where is he?"
"Oh yeah uh, we're not friends. Yeah we kind of lost it on each other, and I don't plan on rekindling that..." I spoke honestly. This year I was focusing on me. Doing what I wanted to do, studying harder so I could apply early for college.
Enough focusing on boys Missy, it's time to do you.
"Damn that's sucks."
"It is what it is" I shrugged.
"Well is that all? What about that boy Robby I saw you getting all cuddly with last night?" She grins.
"Why are you following me?" I say pointing out the obvious.
Clearly Avery didn't understand boundaries.
"Because...." She says, walking away silently with the answer. Leaving me to wonder, why is that she wanted to know about my life so badly.
