(A/n: I had something for this, but I can't remember what it was...)
"Ah he gets it."
"I do."

"Go again!"
It was a cool evening at the dojo, as Eli and I agreed to meet there everyday a week before the Sekai Taikai entry performance. Which was the fight against Cobra Kai for the ability to compete in the tournament.
Around this time I decided I needed more training, and both Eli and Sensei agreed to help. Johnny picked me up a knee brace, and Eli helped me sand down a tree branch to make a staff. One that would move with me better, and that fit my hands and height.
I glazed it down with a wood stain, over the freshly sanded wood and the edged grips that occurred on both ends just before the ending. If you can picture that.
It was used to create a balance between me and the aggressive movement, while also serving as a weapon as an extra bonus. So if anyone or Cobra Kai tried to attack me on the street again, I could actually defend myself.
"Ugh... my back is already killing me..." I groaned as I gave one last kick to the pad Eli held up in his hands, as a target for me to practice on.
"You can do it! Push pass the pain!" Sensei shouted from the sidelines as he cracked open another can of beer.
It was around nine thirty pm, and the sun was starting to set already. We had been here since five, and I still haven't been able to throw a proper kick. Even after five days of practice...
My punches were still great, and probably going to be my saving grace.
However my kicking left much to be desired.
"How?!" I sighed dropping my hands to the side, and my leg back to the ground.
I wasn't feeling this anymore, and slowly my confidence was starting to deteriorated over again. Leaving me powerless to stop it.
"Just think of what is at stake! Think of how awesome it would be to crush Cobra Kai! You and Hawk are our front runners, so we need you to get your ass into gear."
Eli looked back at Sensei with a glare, and I rested my hands on my knees. Gathering as much air as I could to regenerate and start over again.
"Sensei she's trying!" Eli defended me as he turned away again. "Sensei Look at her, we've pushed her to the limits already! We have to be careful."
Sensei nodded slowly in agreement, realizing that nothing was really working.
I need to know what Miguel's secret was to being able to walk again, and fight again with the pain. Because this is hopeless.
