Missy: working. Stupid Felix called out again. I'll be done in like an hour. Why?
Eli🩵: I'm coming to get you in an hour then. I'll probably be there earlier.
Missy: oh?
Eli🩵: We're going to the water park.
Missy: okay well I gotta stop at home first then!
Eli🩵: okay. Well you're driving anyways...
Missy: 😏😏

I smiled down at the phone in my hands, re-reading Eli and I's messages. Even through text he somehow managed to give me sweaty palms, and pink cheeks.
I probably shouldn't be on my phone right now, considering my dad should be back any minute now, but there was no one in the store. All of my coworkers were done for the day, so it was just me in the building. So I guess I had a few minutes to check up on my friends and see what was up.
As I was scrolling through instagram I noticed Sam, Moon, and Yasmine posted a picture together at the water park. In the back you could see all our friends. I'm guessing that's where Eli got the idea from. Not that I'm complaining! It's been really hot out lately, and I was ready to get out of this boiling mess.
Somehow the AC vent broke down a while ago, making it incredibly hot in here. The only thing I had to look forward too was this trip to the water park. Every other day it was sweating swamp in here.
