(A/n: welcome all! To a little game I like to call, author vs character! Where I give Tanner one minute to explain why he shouldn't be written off. Tanner, do you have anything to say for yourself? To the fans? 🎤

Tanner: you have no fans. 🪭

*crickets*

And that's all we have time for today folks! So without further a due, please enjoy your chapter!)

"Nah. It's complicated. I would usually tell my dad but he's got a lot going on right now."

"Be strong kid. That's all you can do in the meantime."

I should've guessed this was going to happen to me, why did I think the universe was going to give me what I wanted for once. There always has to be a catch.

What's going on? You may ask, well let me explain.

"Yeah dad I will call you if anything goes wrong I promise!"

My dad kissed me on the cheek, leaving a small wet spot. I rubbed it off immediately not wanting it to mess with my makeup, as he walked out of the house for work.

After a long day of school, I had to go pick up Avery from hanging out with Yasmine. They were at some fancy sushi restaurant place, where they often met up.

Since Avery's car was stolen, I had to be her chauffeur. Which was incredibly annoying and frustrating with my schedule.

Once I got to the place, I saw them sitting at a table alone. Finishing up with their meals, and laughing about something Yasmine just said. On my way in, I realized they weren't the only two I recognized here.

Tory stood at a table, collecting tips in a bright red uniform.

I quickly ran to an open table and buried myself in the menu, hiding away from her. Thankfully, she walked over to another table to take an order.

Then I saw Sam's mom, Amanda Larusso.

She looked serious, and Tory didn't even recognize her at first. Until Sam had been mentioned indirectly, and since Sam and I were the only girls she had beef with. She just assumed Sam was who she was talking about.

"Well you don't look like Missy. So you must be-"

"That's right."

"You came to my job?" Tory looks around to see if anyone else is watching her, but it's just them. Besides me of course.

"I tried calling you parents. No call back. Big surprise. Should I have kicked in your front door? Is that more your speed."

Neither of them was enjoying this encounter that's for sure.
