When I was 13 we went to this mansion with my family, my father said he had a meeting set with Luther Marino. At the time I didn't know for what , but I now realized it was for my arranged marriage I now am trying to escape.
Growing up it felt like I was made to live in a glass castle , I never got to go out. So when I got the chance I never cared to where , as long as I got to get out of the house and explore.
As they talk in the house I was outside alone. They had a huge pool that I walked along , bending down to touch the water. Ripples that formed as I tapped the water with my finger , I was so mesmerized that I didn't see a shadow behind me.
"You can't have him." I hear a voice say behind me. I immediately stand up and before I can turn around, I'm pushed into the water.
I'm pushed into a 12ft pool.
I can't swim.
I never learned .
I already suck in water as I'm caught off guard, I immediately try to kick my legs to try to swim up to the surface. My tactics are useless as I continue to drown. My head feels like it's going to explode as I begin to lose air in my lungs, I begin to sink to the bottom, this is how I'm going to die .
As I sink to the bottom I see the silhouette of the person begin to walk away. No one will find me . Michael will grow up without his sister , my mama. I can't leave her behind .
She's no longer going to have the light she told me I l gave her , the smile I created with my voice , the warmth I give her with my hugs. She'll never have that again.
As I feel the oxygen leave my body , I feel a pair of hands grab me , I'm pulled up fast and they lay me on the concrete. I begin to cough and my eyes stay shut from the trauma of what Just happened.
I lay on my back and begin to open my eyes , sun. That's all I see , the brightness of the sun and the warmth on my skin is all I feel.
I look see who saved me but..no one is there. Everything is hazy and I'm so confused.
That's exactly how I feel right now , confused.

I open my eyes and I lay there. How the hell did I get here? I don't want to move, my chest feels heavy. Did they find me? I'm filled with anxiety as I realize I'm in an unfamiliar room.
"you're awake." I jump up from the voice, I sit up and see a man at the edge of the bed. Sitting in a chair, my eyebrows scrunch up as I have no idea who this is.
