She looked exhausted, I was angry to see her so upset. I wanted to kill Martin just like I did his two men, he was a terrible father. I know I'm not an angel but at least I know how to treat my loved ones how they deserve.
Kalani was a sweet Angel, she deserved to be happy. She deserves to have anything she wants, to have a smile on her face always. But right now her face is puffy, she's deep into thought. I know how she gets, her anxiety overwhelms her.
But I'm here to protect her.
Even if it's from herself, she's still asleep. I went to my office to check out documents of Martin, and Romello sent me them. I lied when I told Martin Romello told me everything, he was going to yes, but it was cut short when I heard Kalani.
I open the document and I begin to read, my heart stops as I read it.

My fist balls up, this fucking bastard. There's no way I'm reading this right now, I immediately get up and run my hands through my hair. This is going to destroy Kalani, even though I didn't know her mama the way she did. I felt a connection with her from the day she talked to me.

I walk out of the office and Leon walks towards me, "What is it ?" He asked me, I'm sure he could see the anger in my eyes.
"Get some of my men and get them to watch Romello, Martin knows he told me dirty information. He's going to try to kill him for it." I say as my jaw ticks, this is a fucked situation. I know how Martin moves, he's going to want to retaliate.
"You got it ." He says and he walks down the stairs. I walk towards my room to see Kalani, I open the bedroom door to see her sleeping still. I walk further into the room and I sit on the edge of the bed.
I caressed her cheek, she was so beautiful. How could someone be so perfect? She was an angelic soul, I know her screaming at Martin was probably her first time. She never got out of character, she was gentle and kind.
Her eyes flutter open as I look down at her, I couldn't help but smile at her perfection.
"Is everything okay ?" She asks me with her soft voice, I don't think I can tell her. Not right now at least, she's already going through a lot.
"Everything is fine sweetheart," I say as continue to caress her face.
"I saw you with Helena yesterday, what did she want? She was awfully close to you." I notice jealousy flicker in her eyes, she probably wanted to ask me this a while ago but everything was so hectic.
"I'm not sure what she wanted, her goal was to get under your skin by getting close to me. She knew you were watching, but trust me, I wouldn't let her do anything." I truthfully say, she nods slowly. I know she trusts me.
