I was 16 years old at this time, I was on my way to my friend's birthday party, and my mama was the reason why I was able to go that day. It was the only party I'd ever been to, I was wearing a white dress. That's a color I would wear often, white. I was like an angel, that's what my mama told me. The way I moved gracefully and had a heart of gold. Her sweet Angel.
"You look beautiful my love." I look behind me as I'm looking in the mirror to see my mother walk into the room. She was my everything, someone who got me through the day. She didn't make me feel trapped like my father did. The reason why I was an angel was because she was as well. I wanted to be just like her when I grew up.
"Thank you, mama, will you drive me to the party ?" I wondered if my father knew I was going to this party, I didn't want to find out. I wanted to leave as fast as possible.
"Of course, let's go now if you're ready," I added a light blue Hermes purse with my outfit, I grabbed it off my dresser and we walked out of the room towards the stairs, on our way down my heart stopped as I saw Papa. He's looking right at me and his eyes show that he's nervous or on edge.
We get down the stairs and I walk to him, I was eager to know why he looked so worried.
"Are you okay papa ?" He looks at Mama and gives her a pointed look like they're having a conversation with just their eyes. Something was up, I just didn't know what. But I doubt they were even going to tell me.
"Just be careful, he's always watching." My mama said, I looked at her and I assumed she was talking about Papa. But now that I think of it, She was talking about Soren.
She knew he watched me, did she want him to?
"Always watching, don't do anything you might regret sí ?" My father says to me, what could I possibly do that I'd regret? We walk out the door and head to the party.
As I was dancing with my friends I remember some guy coming from behind me and grabbing my waist, I turned around and it was one of my classmates from private school. I slapped his hands away and he laughed along with his friends, how rude of them.
The next day he wasn't in school, or any day after that, I never saw him again.

It amazes me how long I've known Soren but know nothing but how cruel he is, if he knew we were bound to get married why didn't he ever want to see me? Get to know me? Maybe things would've been different. I remember seeing him months later after that meeting after I drowned. Out of everyone, it was him who saw me at the top of the stairs.
