Before Kalani could wake up I left with Leon to see what information we could learn about Martin, there's one specific rule in this business that you can't do, if what I heard was true,
Then this fucker was going down.
I walk in the office building and walk right past the front desk, I continue to walk down the hall. I open the door and my father looks up from his desk.
"You knew about Martin didn't you?" I say clenching my jaw. He had to have known, he wanted us married just as much as Martin did. They were both greedy fucks.
Me and Kalani sadly had this in common, both of our fathers weren't shit. Our mothers were our everything though, but we lost them. Making us lose ourself. I know Kalani is strong, but I know a piece of her is missing because her mama is gone .
But I replace that piece, same way she does with me.
"What are you talking about figlio?" He questions, I hate when he acts so fucking clueless. I know he has some information about what happened, Romello only told me what he heard when he was ease dropping on Martin. But my father had to know everything.
"Don't-" I put my hands on the desk inching closer to him, "Fucking play games with me." I grind my teeth, he tenses up as he see the anger in my eyes. I'm getting very fucking impatient. He was about to get clocked in the jaw.
"Tell me what you know about Lorelei's death. Tell me about that night ." I say, I sit down as I'm not going anywhere until he tells me. Leon sits next to me, my father looks between us two before letting out a tired sigh.
"He was angry, he had found out the reason you stayed away from Kalani was because of her. He said she wasted 3 years of preparing because they wanted different things. He couldn't train her because of her, you weren't going to meet Kalani because of her. He thought she was in the way ."
As he says that my fist clench, the fuck does he mean in the way ? Because I obeyed her and didn't come near Kalani ?
"He..he wanted her gone, when she was he was finally able to teach her what she needed to know. That's why she was able to save Christian, because she is strategically smart, mentally strong. She's already prepared to become a leader , all she needs is physical practice. It's because Lorelei is gone, that he was able to do all that." Without thinking I push everything off his desk, Leon stands up putting his hand on my shoulder.

"It wasn't exactly him who did it. Martin called me that night, he said now that she was gone I could train you more and he can prepare Kalani, I thought it what was best for our future businesses." He says , that's how Romello heard Martin. Because he was on the phone with my father.
