I've been through a lot this past week, I always knew this arranged marriage would ruin my life eventually. But I didn't expect to have Kora and Christian by my side, and I'm so thankful for that.
After last night I decided to wake up extra early before everyone else so I could leave without a million questions. I needed some alone time, to clear my head and think about things. I have to figure out how everyone can win in this situation, there's no way Soren wants to marry me for me and not the power that comes with it, right?
I decided to take a walk in this random park I've found, later on, I'm going to the one I used to go to as a kid. But I'd rather go there with them and not alone, I wish I could just disappear at this point.
I continue to walk by myself and I see goose by the pond that's ahead of me, I lightly smile and decide to go watch them. They scatter away from me as I get closer, I couldn't help but chuckle.
"Pretty sight isn't it ?" I jump as I hear a voice behind me, but not just any voice, his voice. I turn around and Soren is right behind me, how the hell did he know I was here? I'm not even going to guess.
"How'd you find me ?" I couldn't help but ask, I take in his appearance. I won't be a liar and say he isn't attractive, because let's be honest, he is. Very attractive it's annoying, his attitude and lifestyle ruins it.
"I'm always gonna find you, sweetheart, I thought you'd know that by now?" I fight the urge to roll my eyes as he says that, what an ass.
"Well, I came here to be alone, if you haven't noticed," I tell him and turn back to watch the goose. I can just feel him getting closer and my breathing quickens, I'd probably bump into him if I even took a step back. That's how close he is.
"Tell me about your little boyfriend, does he know you're soon going to be my wife ?" I quickly turn and I kind of regret it, He's so close to me. I knew that. But I couldn't help but look at him as he says that word, wife.
"Why do you want to marry me? Aren't you already loaded with money? Why do you need me?" I'm sure he can hear the frustration in my voice, I hope he does. I need him to know I don't and I never will want to marry him.
I can't, I should be able to fall in love and marry the person I want to spend my whole life with. I immediately think of Christian, since I was a kid I'd always imagined him being the one I'd marry.
"I'd get a better reputation, good for the press that means good for business. your father needs me, and I need you." I don't know why, but him saying he needs me makes my heart skip a beat. Why did he have to say it like that? His stare grows intense and I can't help but look anywhere but his eyes.
My eyes look down to his lips, I look back into his eyes and he begins to smirk. Fuck, did he see that? "If you want me to kiss you, I'm all yours, just ask." He says, I let out a scoff in disbelief as he says that.
