"All the remaining members of the syndicate have been captured...." Dad looked at me, specifically my scars and bandages.

We are at his office at home because we can't get out yet. Mom was beside me, sighing heavily. At last, after weeks of trying to capture them, they are all behind the bars. They're all the same people who planned on kidnapping my Grandma.

Mom then held my hand tightly. "Then Gunner could study abroad now?" Mama asked, relieved. "We could start processing his papers."

"Ma, I can wait." Pagpipigil ko. I could wait for all things to settle down. I had an accident because of them and I do not want to experience it again, not only because my life was at stake but because of my family.

I do want them to get worried again. Lalong-lalo na si Mama.

"We could. Gunner won't start his studies immediately, the opening will be in a few months." Papa assured me.

I looked at them critically as they both awaited my confirmation. And so, I slowly nodded.

Well, I plan to study abroad, to take my masteral there. I already applied and I've got an offer. It was just delayed because of the incident that happened.

I closed my eyes tightly and touched my bandage on my head carefully. It still hurts. Sumasakit pa rin minsan kagaya na lamang ng mga pagkakataong ito.

I felt Mom's presence beside me as she held my arms. "Anak, sumasakit na naman ba?" Mom asks nervously.

I chuckled just to ease her tension, even Papa was beside me holding my back. "I'm fine. It just hurts a little bit."

"Maybe you need to go back to the Doctor, or we can call him now." Mom said urgently.

Kaagad naman akong umling. "It's fine. Ma. The Doctor said that this is normal." I chuckled again.

I heard Papa sigh heavily. "Rest for now, Gunner. We'll just call you for dinner."

I nodded. Mom quickly helped me as she wrapped her arms on my waist even though I could manage.

I laid down on my bed as Mom looked at me worriedly. "Rest, Anak. I'll help cook our dinner."

Tumango lamang ako. It's been weeks but I still feel sleepy most of the time, o kaya naman ay sumasakit ang ulo ko. But this is all normal according to my Doctor, and it was a miracle that I was able to wake up from my coma.

We had our dinner later that night, and after which, I laid down on my bed again. Since I can't get out or do some physical activities yet, I watched T.V or scroll my phone all day. O kaya naman ay bumibisita si Gaston at El.

I was scrolling through my social media with my new phone when Gaston called. My old phone wasn't found at the crime scene but it's fine. I am still alive and that's what matters.

"Hello?" I throatholy asked.

"Hey? Tulog ka na naman ba?" He asked me playfully.

"Matutulog pa lang. Why?" I rotated my body carefully as I faced my room window.

"That's boring. Nag iinuman kami ni El sa sa penthouse. All the damn criminals are all now captured." I could imagine him smirking with his tone.

"But it's fine. You're drunk a lot before your accident. Pahinga mo muna bituka mo." He laughed while I furrowed my brows.

I've got drunk a lot? I'm not a heavy drinker.

"Really?" I asked curiously. "Why? Was there any event before my accident?" There should be a heavy reason for it.
