It's been 5 years since it happened. I've tried to move on by attending university. I'm getting a degree in animal care because I love animals and like to stay as far way from people as possible. My mom wanted me to see a therapist but I convinced her that I was fine. She's started to cover the night shift so I don't see her as often as I like.
I visit my dad's grave every Sunday because my university work takes up most of my time. I try and think of the positives about what happened but the only one I can think of is it made me a stronger person.
