I shut the door and listened to what Chrissy had to say.
"Your father."

I spoke over her. " Ian's fine."

She continued "Ian wrote his will a couple weeks before. Do you know how it works?"

"Yeah, I think. Don't I just get a solicitor to sort it all out?"

"Yes, that's right, and they'll explain the steps in more depth. I'm not quiet sure of the details."

"That's okay, thank you for letting me know, I appreciate it."

"No problem, if you ever need anything else, you know where I am."

I smiled and she walked away. I turned around about to walk back into Jakes room. John just stood there, in the doorway.

"What was that about?"

"Nothing, didn't I tell you to stay with your dad."

"No, You just told dad to stay with me."

"Okay, whatever you say." I walked passed him and into the room. I grabbed my phone from my bag and walked out again after I said "I'm going to call my mom."

I sat in the car. I called my mom and listen to it ring a few times.

"Hello?" She finally answered.

"Hey mom, I was at the hospital with Jake."

"Is he alright?" She asked concerned as she cut me off.

"Yeah Jakes fine. It's about Ian, he's, he, died."

She didn't have a reaction for a second, but when she spoke it wasn't the reaction I thought I was going to get.

"Good, he deserves it."

"Mom, you can't say that."

"Why not, have you forgotten what he did?"

"No I haven't but you can't say that, it's wrong."

"Whatever, what happens now?"

"Well, he's written a will which I'm going to get a solicitor to sort out, and I'm going to have a small funeral for him."

"Kiera, are you serious? Don't expect me to come."

"I wasn't going to ask you anyway, it'll be better without you." I hung up and walked back into the hospital. I handed John the keys.  "Wait in the car, I'll be out in a minute."
He took the keys and walked out. Jake turned and looked at me.
"Everything okay?" He asked holding my hand.

"I called my mom and told her about Ian. I told her I was going to have a funeral for him and she said that I shouldn't expect her to come, So I told her not to."
He just stared at me.

"It's just going to be me alone at the funeral." I let out a deep sigh. He squeezed my hand.

"I'll be there too." I smile grew on my lips.

"You would actually come?"

"If you're there, I'm there."
