A/N: if you guys see * it's a little note that I added at the end of the chapter to describe things better (9/6/23)

"That should do it," Jamil states, looking at the finished food. "All right, boys, get this to the dorm!"

"Yes, sir!" The students respond, picking up the containers of food and start heading towards their dorm. The three only watched, making sure that everything was picked up.

"So, why're you guys stayin' on campus over winter break?" Grim asks.

"Yeah, I thought not many people were on campus during break," Angel states, seeing about 50 students getting food and taking it out of the kitchen. "It's like the whole dorm is here."

"Well..." Jamil starts, only for some of the students to freeze at the question.

"..." A student looks at Jamil, and Jamil noticed, only to sigh and look at the two.

"It's a bit of a long story," he says, making the two concerned.

"I don't like where this is going..." Angel says, a familiar feeling creeping up on her.

"It was the housewarden's orders," a student quietly speaks. "Everybody in Scarabia has to stay..."

"We can't go home even if we want to," another student says sadly.

"Shhh. Don't go into it," Jamil states to the students who only look at him. "We brought this on ourselves as it is," he states, and the students only sadly nod at the statement. "Now, let's get this food back to the dorm before it gets cold," he commands, and the students continue taking the food out of the kitchen. He turns to the two. "Scarabia's got the warmth of summer year-round. I think you'll enjoy a taste of the tropics there," he says with a smile, making the two happy at the fact that they won't have to be in the cold.

"Woo-hoo! Now that's what I call paradise!" Grim cheers at the news. "C'mon Angel!" He says as he heads after the students.

"Whoa, Grim, slow down!" Angel calls out to him, only to sigh to see that he didn't hear her. "I'm sorry for him in advance," she tells Jamil, knowing that when food is involved, there's no stopping him.

"It's no problem," he smiles. "I'm sure the housewarden will be delighted to have you as visitors," he says. Suddenly, she felt something wave over her. "Would you care to come over?" He asks.

Angel smiles. "I'd be happy to!" She cheerfully says.

"What a pleasure it is to know you'll be coming to see us, Angel," Jamil says with a smile. "Now then, Scarabia awaits." He starts walking, with Angel following him behind as they walk to the Hall of Mirrors, stopping in front of a mirror with sand and what looked like a viper coiled around the frame and entered it with eyes closed.

Once she stepped into the mirror, she felt a wave of heat overcome her and she opened her eyes, seeing the sight before her. In front of her were pure white columns a few feet ahead of her, but that wasn't the only impressive sight in front of her. In the distance she saw an ethereal palace towering and surrounding the three, seeing that sitting atop the beige building and spires around it were what looks to be red domes, almost shaped like a turban. She looked around, seeing that in the middle of the palace's entrance was a fountain made of pure marble, and a walkway of what looks like to be made from a red carpet of sorts and gold, seeing that there were other buildings surrounding the three, each having their own design of the palace but more of a similar building with a dome on top of the roof. Upon closer inspection, it seemed like there was a symmetrical look coming from the palace, with Angel seeing that the courtyard had the same amenities on both sides, almost as if it was carefully placed there to be two similar halves, reminding her of something familiar in her world, but that thought was soon forgotten as the heat was getting to her, reminding her about the outfit she had on, starting to sweat and drag with the extra clothing on her.*
