"Hey, Trey! Hey, Riddle! Hey, teacup!" Cater calls out to the four as they walk through the hallway, seeing Cater and Lilia waving at them. "What's the haps? I saw a group of guys wearing your collars earlier. You sure aren't wasting any time!" He says to the two with a smile.
"More like the troublemakers aren't wasting any time," Trey corrects. "Are you and Lilia about to make your Pop Music Club presentation?" He asks, seeing how they were in their formal robes.
"Yes. It's a far cry from the glamour of the SDC, but the Pop Music Club is throwing a concert of its own, and we'll be in it," Lilia answers.
"Trey gets snapped up by Riddle, and Kalim gets snapped up by Vil...Cay-Cay's all left out!" Cater sighs.
"'Snapped up'?" Trey says with an awkward smile. "I've told you before that I'm terrible at dancing and singing."
"What's the matter, Cater? Am I not sufficient company for you?" Lilia sadly says.
"Oh, far from it!" He quickly says. "I know you're gonna kill it out there, Lilia. Just keep the improv dialed down for this, okay?"
"Oh, yes- you there, ah...Angel," Lilia calls out, getting her attention. "I understand you gave him an invitation to the SDC in return for his holiday greeting card?" She thinks back, trying to figure out who he was talking about, only for a memory to pop up.
He looks at the tickets closely. "Are these...tickets to the show they're putting on this year's culture fair?" he curiously asks as he looks at the tickets. After a while, he looks at her in surprise. "Are you actually inviting me?" He asks her. She looks at him in confusion and nods. "Heh..." He chuckles. "Heh heh heh...Ha ha ha!" He laughs, making her more confused. "You truly have no fear at all. Very well. I shall accept your gracious invitation."
"He was unhappy that I never sent a reply..." She said sadly, only to remember the reason why he didn't get a reply. "All because SOMEONE didn't tell me to reply to him," she says as she looks at Lilia.
"Khee hee hee," he chuckles. "Don't look at me like that, it was all good fun. He may have not said as much, but he was over the moon about it. I'm grateful as well." He did seem happy about it... She recalls the fact that his mood did get a bit better after receiving the tickets. "Thank you for going out f your way to invite him."
"Oh....it was no problem," she smiled.
"Ooh, what's this?" Cater asks as he listens to the conversation. "You've got a Diasomnia bud now, teacup?" He asks her.
"Yeah," she says. "He's this tall guy, taller than Trey I think, has horns and he lets me call him Midnight."
The three upperclassmen think about the description. "Waaait a minute..." Cater says in thought.
"A guy with horns?" Trey quietly says. "And he goes to our school?"
"There's only one person I know who fits that description..." Riddle quietly says, with the three looking at her in concern, and she only looked at them in confusion. Was this person really a cause for concern?
"Let's not get distracted, Cater," Lilia says, breaking their thoughts. "We'll be late if we don't get to the stage soon."
"Uh-oh, you're right," Cater says as he looks at his phone.
"We'll be taking our leave, then," Lilia says to the group. "May your SDC show be a successful one, Angel," he says as they both walk away.
"Oh, yes, it's almost noon," Riddle says as he notice the time. "Angel, shouldn't you and Grim be getting to the SDC rehearsal?"
"Myah! That's right!" Grim says in shock. "If we're late, Vil's gonna make us drink cursed juice!" He shivers at the thought.
"We've gotten tickets from Ace, too," Trey says. "Break a leg out there. We'll be cheering for you."
"Tell our freshmen that if they embarrass themselves on stage, it's off with their heads," Riddle says with a smirk, making the two shiver a bit at the words.
"I'll pass it on!" She happily says as the two head off to the stage, with Riddle and Trey waving them off.
A/N: Alright guys, I'm going to say this, the event story will just take up my writing for a bit since, again, I decided to do the entire book 3 of the event story in one day (why am I like this? 🙃) and boy, I was surprised to see how it all was set up. Let's just say that I might have to put that on the back burner until Book 5 is done (I'll at least write the 2nd book, or chapter in this case, since I started on it.) Also, I'm actually a bit behind on writing chapters of Book 5 since I literally just finished writing this chapter just hours before it posted (I've dealt with buying a fridge, my car battery dying, the fridge delivery people ripping me off, now I have to return the fridge I bought to get another one that can fit in the house all in this week alone) it's been taking up my time, making me not write chapters ahead of time. Speaking of Book 5, we got 20 more chapters to go! That's hopefully, 5 more weeks of content but it might be delayed because of other things that going to happen soon (externships, trying to study ahead of time for fall semester classes, work, and everything else). I'm doing my best guys! Just hold on! 🥲 Anyway...I got a question to ask you all on Wednesday's post and I can't wait to hear your responses. In fact, it could be the reason for a side story 🤫Join the discord and I'll see you all Wednesday! (6/22/24)
