Q&A Part 2!

Woohoo! Here we are with the long awaiting Pt. 2 of the Q&A session. It's been a long journey but here we finally are! Let's get into it!

Q: How's your family doing after everything?

A: 😀

So we're starting with this question, huh?

Well to answer your question, my family is quite fine right now. The news shocked us all, especially with the incidents being months apart and to be honest, it's still kinda unbelievable to me. When this is posted, it'll actually be near the one year anniversary of my cousin's passing, and though this year will be two years of my other cousins' passing, it's still in my head.

I remember when I first heard the news about them. The first one was when I was doing the Jamil hometown event story and the second one was when I just came home from work, seeing my mom and little cousin (his grandson unfortunately) rushing out of the house to head to my hometown. I tried to write a chapter to try and not think about the news but I was shocked. It didn't help that as days went by with both incidents, details came out, which stunned me even more. I can't go into details because it's quite still unbelievable to believe, but let's just say that those close to you can be terrifying when pushed to the limits, especially family members.

Though I was not able to say my final farewells to all three of them (the first instance was that I was getting on the boat for a cruise and the second instance was that I had work that night and didn't feel safe going), I still think about them. I see that my great aunt (her last only son) and my cousin (her only kids was the victims of the first instance) are doing quite well now that time has passed, and I admire them for being so brave and strong about each incident. From what I heard, the funeral for both instances was packed, showing support from both my family and townspeople, which I'm at least happy about.

Spend time with the people you care about guys. You never know when you'll lose them. 🤍

Q: So are you posting the story on other sites like you said?

A: Okie dokie lokie, first things first, the plan for that is still going on. The problem is...

TAGS! 😓

This story got WAY too many tags to try and get reader attention. For AO3, I have to provide tags that cover all areas of interest, which is the genre, type of story, characters, dorms, oc x (character) ships, etc etc. It's...so freaking much 😓.

BUT the plan is to at least try and start converting the story to AO3 while Book 6 is going on because let's be honest guys, with the content provided as of right now, Book 7 is nearing 200 chapters, and Wattpad can only allow 200 parts to a work (or 200 chapters for one "complete" work), which explains why the story is split into so many works on Wattpad. In total, Book 7 has over 300+ chapters (I believe it ends around 340 or 350?) and to split just Book 7 into 2 works is going to be a bit time consuming. The plan is that Book 7 will be an AO3 exclusive, but the problem is that AO3 doesn't do automatic releases like Wattpad does. So it'll be on the fence for just a lil while longer.

Q: So what are visual novels? Do you have any recommendations?

A: Oh boy oh boy oh boy! 😺 I've been waiting for a question like this!

A visual novel is a game that's an interactive story! It can range from a variety of genres, romance, mystery, action, adventure, etc. The main genre of visual novels that are usually out is romances, specifically otome games, but they are quite more than you expect. There's no action (aside from some rpg elements) and you're literally just reading a story where variable can change based on your choice. They can also be stat raising games, so it's literally the perfect game for when you want to just chill out and read a story with no stress (and simp over hot anime guys like I do CONSTANTLY 😻). Visual novels usually act as telltale games, in which your choices can influence either the story, your character, or maybe even both. I'm sure you all know but some of the most famous visual novels are Ace Attorney, Danganronpa games, Doki Doki Literature Club, and even the Professor Layton games!
