After meal time was over I exited alone and found myself on the same roof top as earlier. The air was bitter on my skin sending chills down every nerve. The mountains in the distance looked ominous as the moon was barely past their apex. A slight gust of wind made me realize how cold it really was forcing me to put my gloves on.
A sudden grip on the back of my neck pulling me back startled me.
"Whoa-ho-ho little lass wouldn't want you to jump on your first day." A familiar voice said as grip on my neck shifted to the front of it tightening. My back was against him. I knew it was Midas, the accent was unmistakeable. I instinctively put my hand around his hand on my neck trying to pull to keep my airways open.
"You shouldn't have embarrassed me earlier." Midas grumbled as he squeezed my throat. Strangled gasps escape my mouth as I let my body fall limp in his grasp to swing my body and land a harsh blow with my foot above his knee as I flip myself out of his hands landing on his back. He tried to reach up and grab me as I slammed my elbow down on his shoulder causing him to yell out in pain and wrapped my bicep around his neck strengthening my hold on his neck starting to squeeze.
"ENOUGH!" A bass filled scream made my ears go static. It distracted me long enough for my hold on Midas to slip and he threw me down to the ground causing the back of my head to land against the metal railing.
"Midas what the fuck is wrong with you! She is your sergeant!" The voice yelled. My vision was doubled from hitting my head. I wasn't wearing any head protection to soften the blow. My hearing was starting to go out as I tried to blink my eyes into focus. Midas and the unknown voices looked like shadow figures at this point and more started to swarm in.
I was entirely out of it. I could tell to everyone else it looked like I was off in looney-toon land with the spinning birds above my head but I couldn't move, I couldn't do anything. Someone was shaking me by the shoulders but I couldn't react. I felt like everything was going to go dark until there was a flashlight in my face.
"Her pupils are dilated Evans, they're not reacting to my flashlight." A voice said with a tinge of panic in it.
My mouth became watery and a burning sensation started in my throat. I knew what was coming. I leaned to my side and puked all over the railings.
"There it is! She'll be okay." I heard Merlin say. "Gray lock him up in my office." He added.
I felt dizzy. I tried to get up but was swiftly met with the rooftop kissing my behind again.
"Alright up you go love." Merlin grunted as he helped lift me up.
"I got her." Phantom stepped in lifting me off my feet.
"I thought you had Midas." Merlin questioned.
"Snowden has him. He's handcuffed to your desk." Phantom replied as he started walk off with me in his arms.
"I can tell you're going to be quite some trouble." He mumbled as he took me towards my dorm.
