Kayo cleaned me up and walked me back up to my dorm. He was gentle this time. I pushed open the door to find my trunk from my old base at the foot of my bed.
"How did this get here! I was told to only take what I could carry!" I said excitedly. I opened it and carefully packed were my balaclavas, knifes, and of course my favorite rifle. I lifted out my rifle seeing it was missing the best part, my silencer. I dug around carefully and it was wrapped in cloth. I couldn't wait, I opened it and screwed it on to the barrel.
"Jesus Christ, that's yours? It's bigger than you!" Kayo chuckled.
"Very funny. This is my baby. Every kill I've had by long range firearm was with this beautiful piece of weaponry." I smile admiring my gun. The silencer was overbearingly large in size. It's size gave me more distance during firing so people's unwelcome comments about it didn't bother me at all. Kayo shut the door behind him and plopped himself on my couch watching me fidget with my weapon. He wasn't staring at my gun, he was staring at my body. I bent over to dive deeper into my trunk looking for my throwing knives. I could tell his eyes were staring where they shouldn't be as I swiftly turned around throwing a knife into the wall just besides his head. He didn't flinch and that alone made me swallow hard.
"Now, I am a nice gentleman, Ms. Ana. Just because someone looks at a woman's body isn't a reason to throw a knife at their head is it." He stood up, his figure was menacing. He walked towards me after pulling the knife out of the wall, spinning it around in his hands.
"I don't take kindly to threats like that. Unless you're trying to match your other eye." It was almost like he was hissing at me. The moment those words left his mouth my brain shut off. Images flashed through my head of the incident involving my eye. I zoned out while Kayo kept rambling.
"Ana... Anastasia!" Kayo yelled rather loudly shaking my left shoulder.
"Huh..?" I said keeping my blank stare.
"What is wrong with you? Why are you this way?" Kayo's German accent was really starting to shine through his words.
"I will tell you Kayo but you have to absolutely promise me, no one else knows. It does not leave this room." I said sternly.
Kayo made the gesture of holding out his pinky finger and I took it around mine.
"At my last base.. I had a captain that constantly flirted with me, despite me showing no interest. While we were in Afghanistan helping America fight their war, there were a lot of unruly American soldiers, very undisciplined. I went for a walk around the camp perimeter one night and was met with a group of drunk American soldiers who told me they were going to "ruin me." My captain appeared shortly after the confrontation and ordered them to hold me down so he could finally get what he wanted. He took my innocence from me. While he was violating me he was shot in the head and in the chest by an enemy sniper. Another bullet punctured his dog tags and when he fell on top of me it sliced my face open. I have a permanent scar from my rapist and unfortunate mental consequences still remain." I explained everything. I could feel my heart beating in my ears. My entire body was revolting at the memories.
"Your own superior did this to you?" Kayo said softly. "Kleine dame.. I am so sorry." I looked up at him, tears had welled up in my eyes but I refused to release them.
"That is why I left his head on a pike." I said coldly letting the tears drip down my cheeks.
