Mumbled voices filled Kayo's room but I couldn't make out any thing over the sounds of the shower. I quickly washed myself in Kayo's soaps and getting out wrapping a towel around my body.
"I don't give a fuck what you say right now Phantom. She is staying here where I know she will be safe. She hasn't been here a full week and already you've tortured her through your silly test and you let a man that clearly hates her attempt to sexually assault her." Kayo said angrily.
"I didn't know Hyde had it out for her like that." Phantom sighed.
"He's best friends with Midas of course he wanted to harm her!" Kayo replied clearly frustrated. I stood there dripping onto the floor listening intently as I took a small step forward and slipped in the water puddle landing on my back. The loud thud of my body hitting the floor was enough to stop their conversation as the bathroom door opened and Kayo walked in.
"Ana, are you okay?" He was at my side in the blink of an eye. My towel had slipped, laying wrinkled underneath me as my lieutenant stood in the doorway staring down at my body.
"Ugh, fuck." I groaned softly. Kayo grabbed another towel off the rack on the wall that wasn't folded. It had been used before and smelled like Kayo. He covered me up, lifting me to stand.
"Leibling you're bleeding. Again." Kayo said frustrated.  I looked down and sure enough one of the stitches had popped open under the plastic wrap. My legs were still weak from Kayo's tongue excursion as my knee almost gave in leaving him to  hold me up.
"I would just like to apologize Anastasia." Phantom said. I didn't know what to say. I was caught between Charybdis and Scylla. I wanted to scream at him for putting me out of service and swear at him relentlessly but I also wanted to put him through the same pain I was feeling.  I decided it was best to say nothing and put my eyes to the floor avoiding his gaze. I saw his feet turn to leave, listening to his heavy footsteps walk to Kayo's door. I waited for the click of the lock before I leaned in letting my forehead touch Kayo's torso.
"Come on, let's fix that leg." He said helping me to his bed. Kayo took a pair of scissors that were way too small for his hands to cut away the plastic on my thigh and crumbled it up. He gently tore the adhesive stitch off my skin causing me to wince in pain, replacing it with a fresh one.
"Kayo.. I don't have any clothes." I said. I yawned just after finishing my sentence as exhaustion crept up on me quickly. He chuckled at my remark as he pointed to a plain white shirt that was laid out on the bed. I shed my towel, grabbing the shirt, and put it on. It was like a dress on my body and almost reached my knees. It was most definitely one of his shirts.
"I look ridiculous." I giggled.
"I'd say you look comfortable and cozy!" He laughed.
I sat back down on his bed yawning.
"You need sleep." He said placing a hand on my head. I knew I couldn't fight sleep much longer. I nodded crawling into his bed. His bed was generously large to accommodate his height. My dog tags clinked together as I laid on my side on his pillows and sighed to myself. I closed my eyes expecting sleep to take hold of me immediately but my ears focused on what Kayo was doing. I heard him rustling something around before I heard the jingle of his belt buckle falling to the floor. The bathroom door shut softly as the shower turned on.
My face ached and was tender to the touch as I shifted on the bed trying to get comfortable. I was used to sleeping on my stomach but thanks to my newly acquired injuries that wasn't an option. I settled down after a moment and drifted off to sleep with ease.

The bed creaked and moved waking me up but I didn't open my eyes. Soft grunting came from Kayo who was getting into bed with me. Once he laid down he wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me to him with his arm keeping me in place.
"Kayo..? What's going on..?" I asked sleepily.
"Shh leibling get some sleep." He whispered in my ear and moved the hair out of my face. Listening to him breathe was therapeutic. I've never slept in someone else's bed overnight but something about Kayo was comforting. His voice and entire demeanor put my mind to rest. Love never came by me easy but this felt different than anything I've felt before.
