I trained hard for weeks. My body was pushed past my limits several times but I felt stronger than before. My muscles weren't tired and my wounds were healed. I felt better than ever but after our heart to heart talk, Phantom has been stalking me like a hawk, everywhere I go there he is just looming.
I made small conversation with him at times and tried to question why he was brooding around but I couldn't get a straight answer out of him. Late one night I was in the activities room training with the leg press and he stared me down like I was prey.
I got myself dressed and geared up, preparing myself for a quick breakfast to try to avoid Phantom. As I slid on my belt and pouches light knocking came at my door.
"Ohhhh sweeeeets!" Wolf's voice sang. It made me chuckle how light hearted he was.
"Come in Viktor!" I yelled playfully.
He came in with his face scrunched jokingly offended I used his name instead of his secondary name.
"Ohhh tsk tsk.. you know better." He smiled.
"What's up?" I chuckled.
"Mister Phantom would like to have a chat." He said raising his eyebrows and narrowing his eyes.
"Do you know what about?" I asked.
"I am no Mister Phantom sweets." He shrugged. I nodded and he left my room. I glanced at my rifle that laid upright next to my bed and decided I didn't want to take it with me today so I clasped my leg harnesses on for my pistols. I secured both weapons in place before signing to myself and slowly made my way to Phantom's office.
I hesitated to knock but the door swung open instead. Kayo stood in the doorway. My heart felt like it was going to leap out of my chest as mixed emotions crashed around in my head. I hadn't spoken to Kayo in weeks and avoided him as best as I could but the thoughts of him on his knees in front of me, staring up at me while his tongue explored the inside of me, made my stomach do backflips. Those thoughts were quickly replaced by the ghost feeling of his hand around my neck squeezing me.
"Hi, liebling." He said. I haven't heard those words in a while. His tone was sweet and apologetic and I could see under his cloth hood his eyes were full of regret.
"H..hello, Kayo." Is all I could muster. He stepped out of the way and I walked into Phantom's office. Kayo's tall figure felt ominous behind me as Phantom finally spoke up.
"About time you joined us, I sent Wolf to fetch 'ya half an hour ago!" He said.
"He only came to me moments ago.. I came straight here." I replied. Phantom nodded pulling out a large rolled up piece of paper and spread it across his desk, using his gun as a paperweight.
"We are doing field training tonight. This is where it will be taking place." He pointed down to the map. It was a forest with a single building drawn onto it.
"It's a two mile area of forestry with an old cabin in the middle." Phantom added.
"Okay, well.. what is the training?" I asked. My question made Phantom laugh.
"Have you ever seen a lion hunting gazelle? You are a gazelle." He said. Shock must've been written all over my face because Kayo let out a low husky laugh.
