WHEN YOU GO BACK

YOU GO BACK

GO BACK

BACK

There was a pause in the broken moment. Chat Blanc's image seemed to shimmer slightly. It was like a ripple in time, an echo that had long rang its course. He was there, and then he wasn't. It was almost like..

Almost like he was never there.

"Go back?" The words barely escaped my mouth — a tiny whisper that floated into the expanse of nothing. I could feel Chat's breath on the back of my neck, but was that just a memory? A flash from a previous existence of us. "What do you mean?"

And then I was all alone, screaming at the sky. "TELL ME WHAT YOU MEAN!"

"Y/N...." I could still hear his voice in my head. "You need to go back."

I opened my eyes. There was a silence. A deathly silence. It covered everything — all the destruction, the broken building that I lay in, the water that rippled over a drowned and long forgotten Paris.

The silence broke when I screamed, my voice carrying over the water, not disturbing a single soul. There were simply no souls left to hear me. It was empty, and I was alone.

He was never here.

The thought — the truth, came to me like a whisper in the wind. The imaginary brush of his fingertips against my cheeks. The imaginary feeling of his palms over mine. The imaginary look of peace in his eyes as he disappeared.

It wasn't real.

None of it was real. I was here, alone. Chat Blanc didn't survive the Cataclysmic event that destroyed all of Paris.

Only I survived the end of it.

Only I survived.

I survived.

But this didn't feel like survival. This felt empty, and unbelievable. This felt impossible.

"CHAT BLANC!" The guttural cry that escaped my throat was all consuming as I collapsed to my knees, staring at the sky. "Please."

"Y/N, it's time," A voice whispered to me — through the haze of nothing, I could hear it call my name from the sky. "It's time to go home."

"Chat?" I dared to hope as I stared up at the sky.

A large white portal appeared, almost like a bunny hole. Out came a figure, who carried the bunny miraculous. She looked at me like I was a foreign being, her eyes blazing as she stepped out of the sky onto the building beside me.

She crouched next to me, placing a gentle hand on my back. I lifted my chin weakly, realizing how pathetic I looked, screaming for an invisible person who didn't even exist.

"Who are you?" I asked quietly, begging for some kind of explanation.

"My name is Bunnix," the miraculous carrier explained in her soft voice. She pointed towards the portal with one gloved finger. "It's time you came back to my timeline, Y/N. It's time you came home."

"What?"

"You will return to a world before any of this destruction came about," Bunnix told me, extending her hand for me to take. I stood to my feet on shaky legs, the reminder of Chat Blanc's absence a weight in my stomach.

He felt so real.

"You will return to a world before you were Raven. A world where you can set things right," she guided me towards the portal slowly. "Defeat Hawkmoth. Save Adrien Agreste."

I walked with her, gentle footsteps on the surface of the building. "Soon, this world will collapse under the final destruction, and your timeline will be no more. Unless you fix where everything went wrong."

"Fix it?" I breathed weakly. "How?"

Bunnix looked at me evenly, her expression calm. "I know you can do it, Y/N. Remember. Don't mess with time and knowledge. You must not let anyone know what you know. Knowledge is power, and power can destroy."

She held my hand tightly as we stepped through the portal. It was an endless room full of spherical shapes. Each contained a memory, a different place. They were all so familiar, tarnished with a hazy memory.

"Wait," Bunnix swiped her hand over one of the spheres. "Here. This is where you must go. Remember. Defeat Hawkmoth. Save Adrien Agreste." The last words I heard before I stepped through the portal rang in my head like a melodic mantra.

"Don't forget to let yourself be saved."
