"Gameplan?" Ladybug snapped her fingers.
"Pass me the popcorn?" Responded Chat Noir, snapping his fingers in return.
It was dark in my room, but I could still her Mom downstairs, pattering away in the kitchen. Meanwhile, Chat Noir, Ladybug and I were struggling to come up with a plan to kill Hawkmoth for good.
His ailing heart, courtesy of Chat Noir's cataclysm before I was sent far away from Paris by a mirage, was slowly tearing a way at his inner being. The only thing left to do was finish him off.
"Now that Y/N — sorry, Raven I mean — has all her memories back, we can finally do something about Hawkmoth. He's wasting away out there in that big old mansion," Ladybug said. "Have either of you noticed that he hasn't really been attacking us? Only forcing Adrien Agreste and Lila to model?"
Did I mention that Ladybug and Chat Noir still don't know each other's identities? That was where we were all getting massively confused.
I shoveled popcorn into my mouth. "Right. I think before we go any further, we need to address the elephant in the room."
"Huh?" A chunk of popcorn fell out of Chat Noir's mouth. He was resting with his head on my lap, barely paying attention to the conversation.
"What do you mean, Y/N?"
"I think that it's only right...if we all know who each other is."
Ladybug and Chat Noir glanced at each other, exchanging uneasy looks.
"What if she's like, ugly or something?" Chat Noir grimaced.
I slapped him on the head.
"HEY!"
"Yeah right," Ladybug shot back. "You're probably Nino."
"I'm...white." Chat Noir threw popcorn at her head. "Also, don't do my boy Nino like that."
Ladybug rolled her eyes. "your boy?"
"Children, children!" I leaned against my headboard. "Please, would you two just reveal yourselves already? We've clarified that Hawkmoth is Gabriel Agreste — which you two already knew from the first battle, right? Yet somehow you've forgotten — or had your memories wiped about your own identities?"
"Yeah." Chat Noir scratched his head. "That damn mirage." His clenched fist was an accurate representation of his inner rage. "It ruined everything."
"Fine," Ladybug spoke suddenly. "I'm willing to reveal my identity on one condition."
"What is it?"
"You can't judge any of the things I've done."
"Why would we?" I arched an eyebrow.
Ladybug's eyes closed for a moment. "I've made some questionable decisions regarding Hawkmoth's son."
Chat Noir and I exchanged looks. His was the epitome of shock and mine was mild annoyance. Yes, we all knew that Adrien Agreste could be a massive whore, but this wasn't the time to be pointing fingers, or accusing anyone of being disloyal. Anything that happened prior to all memories returning was irrelevant.
That being said, this wasn't going to be fun for anyone.
"Who's gonna go first?" I asked.
"I'll go last." Chat Noir volunteered.
"Always a tower of courage, kitty," Ladybug rolled her eyes. "Spots off."
"FUCK NO."
"Is everything alright up there, Y/N?" Mom yelled from downstairs.
"YEAH EVERYTHINGS GREAT!"
"Everything is most certainly not great," Chat Noir whispered furiously. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng?"
"See? Not ugly."
"Yeah but —" Chat Noir closed his eyes. "Claws in."
Marinette's reaction was a lot quieter, but still violent. She repeatedly hit Adrien over the head with a shit tonne of force. Mind, it was with a pillow, but he still flinched away.
Scooting off the bed, Adrien ran from a violent Marinette in circles around my room. What a twist. The cat becomes the mouse, or the...bug I guess.
"Enough already," I said. "What happened to the game plan?"
"I cannot believe that I was ever in love with you," Marinette choked. She fake gagged while Adrien adjusted his rumpled hair and sat back down beside me.
"Believe me, Mari, I'm not proud of myself either."
"No one is," I cleared my throat. "But, you all did things you regret. Right? Right?"
"You can't talk, Y/N." Adrien resumed his position with his head on my thighs. "You dated Luka Couffaine."
"Yeah, and you gaslit me into thinking I'd gone into the past! You also catfished as Bunnix! And you teamed up with Hawkmoth!"
"Yeah yeah," Adrien waved his hand in the air. "Water under the bridge."
"Can we please focus?" Marinette crossed her arms. Letting out a loud huff, she closed her eyes for a split second. "Okay. The main things we need to know are: We all remember everything? No hazy memories?"
"All clear."
"Right, good." Marinette continued, "we have the fox miraculous, correct? Someone collected it off of Lila's dead body?"
Adrien held it up. "Yeah."
"So we have the fox miraculous, we know Hawkmoth's location, and his identity," Marinette hesitated. "Hang on, if you're Adrien Agreste, and you knew that Hawkmoth's your father, how have you been living in the same house as him?"
"I haven't," Adrien explained. "I moved out after we cut our deal. I've been living with Natalie."
"Oh, fun — like you got a new apartment?"
"Off topic," I cut in. "Back to the gameplan."
"All we really need to do, is break into the Agreste Mansion, and kill Hawkmoth." Marinette agreed.
It was decided.
