I couldn't care less actually. I mean, it's Malfoy the most annoying creature on the face of the earth. Still the thought of him even thinking of me, saying that he secretly likes me haunts me. It was just impossible. Maybe he was just acting after all, but then again he would never say those other things. Especially about his father, I know he's scared of him. I was so far in thought that I accidentally bumped in to someone.
"Hey watch it!" Said an angry voice. I looked up and stared in to two blue eyes.
"Sorry." I said apologetic waving my hand in the air as if I was swatting at a fly.
"Fine. Just as long as you don't hex spiders and send them after me again."
I blinked one time, that was a very odd sentence. There was only one time I did that, which was extremely funny as he screamed like a little girl. But that was-
"WEASLEY!" I yelled suddenly. He jumped at my outburst as he nervously glanced around him like he didn't want other people know that he was there.
"What?! What?! What?!" He yelled in a panic. I stared at him with disgust.
"Get away from me! Shoo!" I said motioning my arms as if he was a contagious pest.
"You're mental, you know that right?" He said raising his eyebrows as he walked away.
What the bloody hell, I'm really out of my mind right now, I must be. Otherwise I would've avoided him like the plague, no one wants to be associated with a Weasley!
"Ella!" Yelled someone and I glanced around. "Behind you!"
I turned around and saw that it was Marie. She was running over to me with a broad smile.
"You're healed?" I asked while I gave her a hug.
"Yeah, it seemed I got some kind of food poisoning somehow. Madam Pomfrey said it was probably my gum." She said with a grimace. "Did I miss something at potions?"
"More than you know." I said as a dark expression mastered itself on my face. We slowly started to climb up the stairs to go to Transfiguration class.
"Oh? Do tell!" She said gleefully."We made veritaserum." I said dreading this conversation already.
"And..?" said Marie in the way only she could.
"We had to work together in couples. Guess who I ended up working together with."
"Blaise?" she asked and I pursed my lips. It was a good guess in regards to the lunch catastrophe.
"No worse. I had to work with Malfoy." I said with disgust and she suddenly stopped me in an alcove on the stairs and widened her eyes at me.
"What?" she said stunned. "What happened?"
"Well we didn't talk much." I started feeling awkward already. "But at the end of the class we were required take a sip from it."
Marie didn't say anything but she was egging me on, her eyes filled with eagerness. I rolled my eyes as I continued.
"Malfoy took a sip... and..." I trailed off, and paused for a moment. I really didn't want to say it, I couldn't even believe he said it himself.
"And - What?"
"He admitted he liked me." I hissed at her with a painful expression on my face. Her eyes were now practically popping out of her skull.
"WHAT?! MALFOY LIKES YOU?!" Screamed Marie throughout the stairwell.
"SSSHH!! Not entire Hogwarts needs to know!" I said slapping my hand over her mouth. "It's awful enough already!"
"But.. isn't that's impossible? Are you sure it wasn't a joke?" mumbled Marie against my hand. I quickly took my hand away and rubbed it on my robes.
