Everyone in the Slytherin common room stopped whatever they were doing. They all stared at the three of us, and I felt mischief and a sense of victory take over my body.

"Oh?" I said to Malfoy with sarcastic innocence. "You didn't know?"

Malfoy stared at Pansy as if she just announced she was muggle-born.

"I-I.." started Pansy. "I did not!" She finally managed to say.

"You don't fool anyone Parkinson." said Marie suddenly as she walked towards Pansy. "Everyone knows about it."

Pansy glared at Marie, and then at me, before running to her dorm without a word.

I smirked successfully.

"We need to talk." hissed Malfoy as he walked up to me. It wasn't a question.

"Sure." I said with a shrug.

We walked outside the common room and I followed him as he angrily strode down a few corridors and hallways. He opened an empty classroom and he pushed me inside.

"What was that." Said Malfoy with a low voice. Again, it wasn't a question but he did demand an answer from me.

"Nothing. I just felt like it." I said innocently twisting my hair around my index finger as I leaned against a table.

Malfoy didn't answer, instead he stared at the ceiling and sighed frustrated.
"Is it true?" He asked after a while of finding the right words.

"Unfortunately yes." I said. He then lightly pressed his fingers against his forehead as if he had a headache coming on. He didn't seem happy about this news.

"I'm not surprised," He snarled. "Stupid wench."

What the hell is that pale frog talking about?

"But wasn't she your girlfriend?" I said confused. He gave me a knowing look, and I finally understood. Pansy was as much Malfoy's girlfriend, as Weasley was my boyfriend.

"Right." I said clearing my throat. "I think.. I get it."

"You get what...exactly?" He asked a little sarcastic.

"At potions." I stated as I gave him a knowing look. He just raised his eyebrows at me as if I'd gone mental. "You want me to spell it out for you?" I said indignantly. He gave me a weird look and I rolled my eyes at him.

"With the veritaserum. You.. you said you liked me.." I managed to say as I felt my cheeks heat up. "Which is impossible because how can anyone like me in the first place? I don't even like myself!" I rambled avoiding his eyes.

"Always so self-centred," He said icily. "you're immediately assuming it has something to do with you."

Ouch...

"Oh so who do you like then?" I said sarcastically. Was there someone else? Wait, why do I care? I don't care! Do I?

"What is it to you?" He asked suspiciously. "Aren't you with that blood-traitor?"

I blushed again, was I going to annoy him? Or not? "No." I grumbled eventually. We were silent for few minutes, then he slowly walked over to me and leaned against the table next to me. He was staring at the ceiling again. We didn't say anything to each other, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence.

"Have you thought about what I've said?" He asked.

"Thought about what?" I asked nonchalantly.

"Hating me." He said as he cleared his throat. He loosened his tie and unbuttoned the first few buttons of his shirt, -which was not wise- because now I couldn't look away from the small piece of skin that was suddenly visible.
