I went to bed with dancing snakes and a carousel of butterflies in my stomach. I didn't tell Malfoy my feelings like I wanted to, I suppose I got too nervous in the end. Was it necessary? I could hardly believe the emotional rollercoaster that I was on. I went from hate to... love? I wasn't exactly sure if it was love yet, but it felt amazing.

The next day I was walking from the Slytherin common room on my way to the great hall, when someone stopped me.
"Elenore can I talk to you?"
I turned around and saw Blaise standing there. That scared me a bit, I thought he was already gone as he got suspended and everything. I glanced nervously at the exit of the boy's dormitory, and thankfully saw Malfoy heading down the stairs. We made eye contact and he was next to me before any of us could say 'Butchering Bloody Baron'.
I felt anxious and I looked at Malfoy, he grimaced because he saw the way I looked at Blaise. "What do you want Zabini." Growled Malfoy dangerously.
"Talk to her. Alone." Said Blaise emphasizing 'alone'.
"I won't permit she goes with you alone Zabini." warned Malfoy lowering his eyebrows as he glared at his former friend.
I suddenly felt very protected, and Malfoy snuck an arm around my waist to make sure that he would.
Blaise sighed in annoyance.
"Fine," he almost snapped at us. "I just wanted to say that I don't remember anything and that I didn't want to hurt you."
"Save it, you twat!" Snarled Malfoy. "This wasn't the only time you attacked her." Blaise's face turned pale. He knew that he couldn't talk his way out of this, and he was frankly afraid of getting another punch from Malfoy.
"About that, at the lake.." started Blaise holding up his arms defensively. I saw little beads of sweat pearling on his forehead. "Honestly, I wanted to talk... but I-I had a little too much. I just returned from a Slug Club party at Slughorn's office.. And, well... you know?" he said as if that justified his actions.
I frowned and Malfoy raised his eyebrows sarcastically. He wasn't having any of it. "That's all you have to say?" snapped Malfoy sarcastically as he looked him over with a dirty look.
"Well-" started Blaise.
"You know what? No." I said interrupting him. "I'm done talking to you. Goodbye." We immediately turned around and walked out of the common room to get breakfast. Good riddance.
We walked in silence as we were both thinking about what just transpired in the common room. He still had his arm snaked around me, resting his hand comfortably on my hip. "Thank you." I managed to say after a while, but Malfoy didn't smile.

"So, how did it go?" asked Marie smugly from behind her cup of orange juice. Malfoy was sitting across of me eating silently. I blushed when I thought about last night and Marie's eyes twinkled.
"We're together." I mumbled and Marie's eyes widened.
"Did you tell him?" she whisper-shouted and Malfoy looked up from his plate for a split second, smirking smugly at my face. I knew she was referring to our earlier conversation when she said I was in love with him. I knew Malfoy was referring to our heated make-out session in the common room last night.
"Wasn't necessary." I mumbled blushing even more. She gave me a knowing look as she wiggled her eyebrows and I tried to avoid her eyes. Malfoy was still looking smug at me which made me kick him under the table.
