Chapter 30

3rd Person POV

4 years later

"And this document needs your signature." Xiao Ya, Tang Yi's assistant said as she gave him a folder filled with papers. Tang Yi quickly signed it and gave it back to her.

"Thank you for all the work you've done today, Xiao Ya. You can go home now." Tang Yi said.

Xiao Ya slightly bows to him and leaves the room. Tang Yi sighs and leans back in his chair, completely exhausted. He packs up all his stuff and puts on his coat and leaves the shop, making sure everything is locked up. He heads to his car and starts driving to pick up Shao Fei from work.

While he's driving, Tang Yi thinks back to the fact that it's been 4 years since the clan has gone legit. Ever since then, he and his father have invested their money into legal businesses such as restaurants and clothing stores. One of them was a suit shop which is where Tang Yi spends most of his time at. There were many members of the clan who stayed to help them with their businesses. The ones who decided to leave were given plenty of money to live comfortably and were wished good luck in their lives.

He arrived at the restaurant and walked inside. He sees Li Zhen in the dining area wiping down tables. When she looks up towards the door, she smiles at Tang Yi.

"Oh, Tang Yi, you're a little earlier than expected." Li Zhen says.

"Yeah, I got everything done quicker than expected. Is Shao Fei done?" Tang Yi asks as he looks towards where the kitchen is.

"He should be. I'll go get him. Oh, and are you hungry? I can make something really quick." Li Zhen says.

Tang Yi nodded, "Yeah I can eat. But can I take it to go?"

Li Zhen nodded and headed to the kitchen. Tang Yi sat at one of the tables waiting. After a moment, Shao Fei came out.

"Hey Tang Yi." Shao Fei greeted him.

Tang Yi stood up and smiled at him and pulled him into a hug.

"Hey Shao Fei, I missed you."

Shao Fei chuckled, slightly pulled away and looked at Tang Yi smiling.

"You're adorable, you know that?" Shao Fei said and kissed Tang Yi on the tip of his nose.

"Ok boys, here's your food. Make sure to eat everything." Li Zhen called out as she headed out of the kitchen with a bag in hand.

"Thank you." Tang Yi said as he took the bag.

"And make sure you two get plenty of rest and stay warm. The weather is getting colder by the minute." Li Zhen added.

"Don't worry mom, we will." Shao Fei says.

They say their goodbyes and the couple head out to the car.

"I'm not ready to go home yet. Do you want to go for a walk?" Tang Yi asks when they entered the car.

Shao Fei nodded, "Sure."

Tang Yi started the car and drove to the park. The same park they went to on their first date. When they pulled up and got out of the car, they started walking down the same path but the difference was now the surrounding trees were bare. They walked hand in hand talking about random things. 

After a while of walking, they stopped at the same bench and sat down. They didn't have anything else to talk about, so they sat in a comfortable silence. Shao Fei laid his head on Tang Yi's shoulder, both snuggling close to keep each other warm. Tang Yi looked down at Shao Fei's wedding ring and started fidgeting with it.

He still remembered that it was just last year that he proposed to Shao Fei. He talked to his dad about it and asked Li Zhen for her blessing and they were both overjoyed at the news. He even asked Jack and Zhao Zi for help creating the perfect plan. The moment that Shao Fei said yes was the happiest moment of his life.

Shao Fei notices that Tang Yi is messing with his ring and looks up and smiles at Tang Yi.

"Tang Yi, can you really believe it's been 4 years since we've been together?" Shao Fei asks.

Tang Yi smiles back and places his hand on Shao Fei's cheek. "No, I can't believe it. But I'm glad that it happened. And I know that there'll be more years to come with us together."

Shao Fei smiled at the sweet words. Tang Yi looked at him for a moment before leaning in and kissing Shao Fei. Shao Fei immediately starts kissing back, both of them holding each other close.

After kissing for a moment, they pull away catching their breath and smiling at each other. They rested their foreheads against each other.

"I love you, Tang Yi." Shao Fei said, breaking the silence.

Tang Yi smiled and placed a kiss on Shao Fei's forehead.

"I love you too, Shao Fei." Tang Yi replied back.

Tang Yi pulls Shao Fei closer to him, Shao Fei's head laying on Tang Yi's shoulder and Tang Yi laying his head on top of Shao Fei's. They sit in silence as they enjoy the peaceful night together, not having a care in the world.
