"I didn't know you would come to Singapore as well" I walked next to Max Fewtrell through the paddock.
I tried to act as normal as possible even though it sometimes felt weird. We shared a moment together and I wish that moment lasted longer.
Way longer.
"I came with Lando. I guess he needed his lucky charm" he chuckled a little but quickly stopped. "Aimée, I am so sorry about what happened"
"Don't worry about it, I understand" I smiled. It couldn't be easy for him. I don't think I would be a able to kiss Kara's ex even if she was marrying someone else.
"But I don't think you do" he said as he stopped walking, which made me stop too. "What do you mean?"
"I like you Aimée and I wish I met you first. I wish I could love you like you deserve to be loved" I never expected these words to come out of his mouth.
I didn't know how to reply, I was such a mess right now and he didn't deserve this side of me. He deserved my best side.
I took a step closer to him, locking my eyes with his and just as I was about to reply, just as I was about to confess things to him, his best friend interrupted us.
"Let's go mate" Lando patted Max's back. I clenched my teeth against each other as I looked at him. Lando and I didn't really talk after what happened that night in my apartment.
He was mad at me for kicking me out after I made him hard and I was mad because he tried to use me.
After everything we've been through, he still tried to use me.
"Don't you have your own friends to stare at?" Lando snapped as he looked at me. "I do" I nodded. "But they aren't as hot as your friends" I smirked. Lando's face immediately dropped.
I leaned closer to Max. "Text me" I whispered and brushed my fingers against his arm before walking to the Red Bull hospitality.
I grabbed a can of Red Bull out of the fridge and sat down at one of the empty tables. Max Verstappen was talking to Helmut and Christian. I would rather drown than join that conversation.
Where was Kara when I needed her?
I grabbed my phone and started scrolling through Instagram to keep me busy.

"Hi babe" someone said which made me quickly put my phone away. They didn't need to know I was staring at his picture for a bit too long.
Even though I wasn't really sure who I was staring at.
I quickly looked in front of me as Kelly was sitting down in front of me. "Oh hi Kelly" I smiled.
What was she doing here? I thought she wasn't coming to this race?
I quickly looked at Max, who was already looking at the both of us. I saw the look on his face, he was scared, sad.
And then it clicked, he lied. They didn't have an open relationship, Kelly wouldn't be okay with this. She wasn't doing the same.
He was scared I might tell her what happened a month ago and again last night.
"Are you okay?" She asked as she tilted her head a little.
No, I slept with your boyfriend, twice now and unfortunately it was pretty amazing.
I nodded. "Just heard about Lando and Lara" I tried to distract her a little because she could probably see I wasn't okay.
"Max told me, I still think it's crazy he asked her to marry him when he clearly still loves you"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Clearly not when he's marrying someone else" I sighed.
She put her hands on mine. "He'll realize what a mistake he made soon enough but on the other hand, you deserve someone better"
And so do you. You deserve better too and I was being such a bad friend.
"Anyways I am going to save my boyfriend from that boring conversation" she laughed as she looked at Max.
He was still looking at us, but little did she know, it wasn't because he was in a boring conversation.
