"It's absolutely beautiful" I said as I looked at the stars. There were no falling stars tonight, but I didn't need them, I had everything I wanted right next to me."Are you hungry?" He asked as his lips touched the top of my head. "I am starving"
He guided me to the table and held my chair out. I smiled as I sat down and adjusted my seat.
The view was absolutely amazing."I am still a sucker for views" I laughed as I looked at the skyline. "I am a sucker for beautiful views too" he said as he looked at me.
I laughed as I kicked his leg with my foot. He was still making me speechless, still making me blush. It didn't matter how long we've been together or how many kisses we shared.
"So what's on the menu?" I asked enthusiastically. I was so hungry. "Well" he said as he looked next to him, I followed his gaze and saw Kara walking to us with two drinks in her hands.
I laughed and shook my head. "Two rum and coke's" she said as she put the glasses down. I frowned as I looked at her and Lando. "Without the rum obviously"
So it was just Coke. I laughed.
"It was your favorite drink right?" Lando asked nervously. "Coke or rum and Coke?" I laughed as I put my hand on his.
"It's perfect baby" I rubbed my thumb against his hand.
And then someone else walked in with two plates. I put my hand in front of my mouth.
He put the plates down in front of us and smiled at me. "Pizza for the lovebirds"It was Josh. He asked Josh to fly to America. For me.
I got up and wrapped my arms around him. "What are you doing here? You flew all the way to America for me?" I had so many questions, but he wasn't answering any of them.
He just smiled and patted my back. "We'll talk later. Just enjoy your dinner with Lando" he whispered.
I nodded as I sat back down and looked at the love of my life. He did this all for me, for us.
"Don't expect anything special" I mocked him. This was special. It was more than special, I had no words for it.
He brought my closest friends here, tried to bring me to the stars, everything except the dinner was extraordinary.Pizza and rum and Coke, without the rum because I was pregnant.
And then it hit me. Rum and Coke was the first drink he bought me. Pizza was the first meal he delivered to my apartment.
The stars, he asked me about my tattoo during our first fight. He was recreating all of our firsts.
"Lando, I-I" I stuttered I didn't know what to tell him. He quickly shook his head and got up, only for a little while before he sat down again.
On one knee.
He was about to propose, again. This time was even more beautiful but also a lot more confusing.
I wanted to say yes but should I do that even if I didn't know if he was actually the father of my child?
Did it really matter? Our love for each other was obvious. So maybe everything else didn't matter.
Or did it?
