I opened my eyes and looked around. White walls, white floors, white doors.

Obviously I was laying in the hospital. I turned my face, Lando was sitting next to my bed, his head was laying on his arms. He must have fallen asleep.

Please don't tell me I passed out and woke up 10 years later. I sat up a little, pain rushed through my body.

Lando immediately woke up, sitting up straight and looking up at me. "Fuck Aimée, baby, how are you feeling?"

"Who are you?" I asked, trying to hide my smile and be as serious as I could.
His eyes widened a little. "Lando" he mumbled.

"Are you my extremely handsome boyfriend?" I laughed. He rolled his eyes as he let out a breath. "Don't ever do that again"

"How long was I out for?" I asked as I reached for the bottle of water. "Only a couple of hours" he said as he passed me the water.

I was relieved about that.

"How are you feeling though?" He asked as he sat down on the edge of the bed. "I've been better, but fine"

Fine. I was fine. I was alive and that's all that mattered.

"My dad.. is he?" I asked. "He's been arrested, you don't have to worry about him again" but I knew one day, I had to worry about him again.

One day, but not today.

"Can you cuddle me?" I asked as I moved a little to the side, making room for him. He didn't respond with words, but he laid down next to me and wrapped his arms around me.

My body was in pain, but I wasn't gonna tell him that. I wasn't gonna ruin this moment.
Instead, I pressed my lips against his.

His fingers were in the base of my neck as he kissed me back. His tongue was gently caressing mine.

It was all I needed in this moment. All I needed in every moment of my life I was honest.

A knock on the door interrupted us and a doctor walked in soon after.
Lando groaned softly, probably only I could hear it as he pecked my lips.

"Good to see you're awake" the doctor said as he walked inside. He looked at the clipboard in his hand. "How are you feeling Aimée?"

"Alive" I smiled. I was feeling alive in every way possible.

"So, am I allowed to go home?" I asked.
In the meantime, Lando got up and walked to his bag, grabbing a bottle of water out of it.

The doctor looked back at his clipboard and nodded. "Yes, you still have to rest and take care of that wrist" he said as he pointed at my wrist. "But other than that, both of you are perfectly healthy"

I raised my eyebrows. Both of us? Was Ryder hurt too? Why didn't Lando tell me?
I looked at Lando, but he looked as confused as I was.

"Both of us?"

The doctor looked at me, also confused and quickly looked back at his clipboard.

"Oh, I thought you knew but congratulations you're pregnant" he said with a smile.

I immediately looked at Lando, who almost chocked on his water.

"I am pregnant?" I stuttered.
