It's been a month since that day I kicked Lando out of my apartment.
I've been doing better, much better.

I stopped drinking and took care of myself again without anyone trying to get in my pants.
I mean, they did try but I pushed them all away.

I sat down on the back of the plane, we were going to Singapore for the next race and even though Max asked if I wanted to be on his private plane, I decided to take the team plane instead.

I couldn't be around Max and Kelly for so many hours. I still felt guilty even though nothing else happened after that day.

"Move" someone said as they pushed my shoulder. I quickly looked up and saw Max standing in the aisle.

I moved over to the seat next to me. "Since when do you take the plane with the team?" I asked as I looked how he sat down.

"Since you ignore me" he groaned as he adjusted his seat.

I know he was already regretting his decision. "I am not ignoring you, I work with you, how can I ignore you?" I chuckled trying to be as casual as possible.

"You stand beside me during the interviews but you're not saying anything" he said as he clicked his safety belt. "You aren't talking to me or looking at me"

"So you're gonna kidnap me for 14 hours?" I laughed but he didn't answer because that was exactly what he was planning to do.

This was gonna be a long flight.

I grabbed my headphones and put them on. I could at least try to get some sleep and ignore Max for the most of the flight.

"Can I ask you something?" He turned his face to mine. I nodded as I took my headphones off again.

He was thinking about his question, trying to find a way to ask it. "Am I bad in bed or something?"

I laughed a little but he was serious. His face dropped when I started laughing.
Did he really think I was ignoring him because he was a bad fuck?

It was exactly the opposite.

But I wasn't gonna tell him that. "I've had better" I said as I put my headphones back on.
He raised his eyebrow.

I guess it was gonna be a long flight for him too.

——————————

It wasn't that long of a flight to be honest, I slept through most of it and Max dropped the subject after that.

But unfortunately we had rooms next to each other. "And since when do you sleep on the peasant floor?" I laughed as I scanned my keycard.

"Are you done yet?" He laughed as he got into his room as well.
It was actually fun to mess with him a little.

After I unpacked and took a shower, I felt so tired but I had to beat the jetlag.
So, it was time to annoy my favorite person again.

I knocked a few times on Max's door. I was sure he wasn't sleeping either.
He had to beat this jetlag more than I did.

After a few minutes he opened the door and looked at me. He was shirtless and by the looks of it fresh out of the shower.

"I am so tired but I am trying to beat the jetlag, any ideas?" I asked, sounding as chipper as I could. I didn't leave him any time to reply because I was already walking in his room.

He had the same exact room as I did, nothing too special but still big enough for a few days.

He closed the door behind me and turned to me. "I have a few ideas" the smirk on his face revealed what he was thinking about.

"No, keep your dirty mind to yourself" I laughed. I laid down on his bed and turned the tv on.

He laughed as well as he crawled in bed next to me. "I don't think this is gonna keep us awake"

He was right, but I couldn't go out, I was way too tired for that and unfortunately I wasn't feeling completely fine.

"Maybe not, but I am feeling a little bit sick" I pouted my lips.

He opened his arms and gestured for me to come closer. I laid down in his arms and put my head on his chest.

I felt safe and in the first time in a while I also felt happy again.

I almost drifted away until there were a few knocks on the door.
It definitely helped waking us up again. I quickly looked at Max.

"Don't worry, it's probably roomservice. I ordered us some food" he said as he brushed some hairs out of my face.

I guess I did fall asleep because I didn't even notice he called roomservice.

But his face dropped when he opened the door. I guess it wasn't roomservice.
