I went to the paddock early today, Aimée decided to stay in bed just a little while longer so I let her enjoy some alone time.

She needed that after everything that happened.

I didn't even had breakfast yet but I was so tired, I didn't sleep much lately. I was overthinking everything.

I walked in the hospitality and to my surprise, Eve was already standing behind the counter.

"Morning Lando, you're early. Don't tell me Aimée kicked you out this morning?" She half laughed. Hoping she wasn't right.

"No she didn't, but she wanted to sleep a little bit longer and if I stayed in bed, we wouldn't be sleeping" I winked at her, she immediately rolled her eyes.

"You want food?" She didn't even wait for an answer. She knew I probably didn't eat yet, especially since I was this early. "I desperately need food"

Eve gave me my food and left me alone for the rest of the morning. She saw that I needed some private time. I guess Aimée wasn't the only one who needed time to think.

I was gonna be a dad, I was happy about that but I didn't want to get my hopes up too much.
Not yet at least.

The doctor told us it was gonna be a hard pregnancy for her. She had to take things slow, rest a lot and eat healthy.

Everything she didn't do lately.

After my breakfast, I walked to my drivers room, I had to get ready for qualifying.

I grabbed my racing suit and started to undress when there was a soft knock on my door.

"Yes?" I said as I kinda suspected it to be Aimée, so I didn't care that I was almost naked right now.

I was right, Aimée walked in and quickly closed the door behind her when she saw I was changing.

"Hi handsome" she said as she walked up to me. She was looking amazing right now, she was glowing.
She always looked pretty, but it looked as if she was free of worries and I loved that for her.

I opened my arms with a smile. "Hi pretty baby, how are you?" I asked as I felt her head against my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed the top of her head.

She could probably hear my heart, which was beating fast right now, so fast.

"I am so good, I am feeling so refreshed" she said as she looked up at me. "But you seem tired"

"Probably just the jetlag, don't worry" I lied. But it was honestly nothing. I didn't want her to worry about me, especially when she looked better.

"You know what we need?" I said as I put my hands on her cheeks. "A date, just you and I"

And I needed to ask her something.
Something important.

"Yes we do!" She said enthusiastically. "When?"

"After the race? Sunday evening?" It gave me time to actually come up with something.

"Perfect" she smiled. She immediately pressed her lips against mine. It felt so good to taste her again. I never wanted to let her go.

But unfortunately Jon, my trainer, had other ideas. He walked in without knocking, like he usually did.

In the beginning of our relationship, he wasn't used to walking in on us kissing, but he was very used to it by now.

He cleared his throat, which caused us to break the kiss. "I will see you after quali baby" Aimée smiled. She knew I had to get ready.

"Treat my man right" she patted Jon's shoulder as she walked out of my drivers room.

I laughed. "That's my girl" I said as I laid down on the massage table.

I still had two days to organize this date. Our first date since we got back together and probably the most important date.

I needed some help because I couldn't prepare this all by myself, so I needed Kara and maybe Eve.

They would be excited to help me, I knew that.
