When Bella had woken up from her long slumber, she felt a little woozy. As if everything around her was spinning around. She sat up, and the woozy feeling took a toll on her body as she felt more dizzy, her balance loosening as she fell back onto the soft mattress.
Bella sighed. She wasn't sure why she felt so tired all of a sudden. She was sure she wouldn't be this tired since she already spent most of the time sleeping the other day. She looked with little strength she had at Bittergiggle, who was curled up on his side, still sleeping.
Taking another shot at sitting back up, Bella slowly kept her balance this time and got a closer look at Bittergiggle, and, aside from the dizziness she still endured, she felt a warm feeling.
The way he slept, he wasn't so panicked anymore, and was so relaxed. Even smiling. This wasn't the first time this happened. Whenever Bella had slept and cuddled with him to calm him down from the distress that stemed from the nightmares of Queen Bouncelia, he always looked so peaceful in the mornings.
Knowing that Bella is there to keep him safe, her warm arms wrapping around his body and her loud, steady heart beats relieving him of his stress.
Even though Bella didn't have a mouth, she was smiling. It always made her happy that Bittergiggle was no longer distressed. But the warm feeling didn't help with the dizziness she was still feeling.
It began to grow worse as she began to climb out of the bed. Bella tried to focus as she started walking towards the elevator. Her tiredness was clearly not making this easy for her. Surely, some coffee could rid her of any issues with the growing fatigue she was feeling right now, and if she was right, Fern was probably awake by now, and as usual, was making the demon some coffee, and of course, her homemade waffles.
Suddenly things turned for the worse when as she was a few feet away from the elevator, something rose up in her throat. The demon doubled over, falling onto her knees and spat out dark blue vomit that splattered into the floor from her eye.
She panted breathlessly. Her energy was already being drained out of her. As she tried to recover, Bittergiggle had woken up, Bella's vomiting enough to jolt him awake.
He looked at Bella. His face paled, knowing that something was wrong as soon he saw the blue vomit that she threw up on the floor. "Bella, are you okay?" He asked, concerned as he ran up to Bella's side. She was coughing and trying to wipe off some of the vomit on her eye.
"I...I don't know," Bella told him. Her voice was hoarse. She didn't know what was wrong. She was feeling all too tired, dizziness taking over her senses and the next thing she knew, she was starting to feel sick.
Unfortunately, the elevator let out its usual ringtone before opening up, and in came Fern, who was followed in by Sheriff Toadster.
"Hey, Bell-OH MY FROG!" Fern shrieked in horror as her face paled. As soon she saw Bella coughing on her knees and the blue vomit that laid on the floor in front of her, she immediately knew something was wrong.
Apparently, this didn't go unnoticed by Sheriff Toadster, his calm expression turning to that of concern when he saw how frail Bella looked and the vomit on the ground.
The two ran up to the sick demon, all of their faces full of concern as they asked questions. Of course, Bittergiggle was also worried. Being two of the people that loved Bella so much and had made stronger connections, Bittergiggle and Fern were more worried and constantly panicking.
"I'm not quite sure," Bella answered when they started repeating the question 'are you okay?' multiple times.
"You don't sound or seem okay," Fern spoke as Bella tried to stand up. "Maybe you should lay down. You must've ate something bad. That's probably why you're nauseous."
