Bella sighed, as she stood in front of the thrift store.  She wasn't in her demon form, as during a phone call earlier, Verosika warned her that Los Angeles was one of those places that wasn't so keen on things inhuman, so Bella chose to go in her human form.

Okay, it was very simple. Go in the thrift store for a quick look. If she doesn't find it, ask the owners for information.  Gather  the information, go to Verosika's concert, and then attend Dutch's yearly party at his hotel.

Bella had stuff planned not just today, but the whole week. Lots of activities planned. If she went on a search for the Calamity Box today, it would've taken hours, and she'd miss Verosika's concert and Dutch's fancy party.

She already made a promise. She had made a schedule board since Dutch, Elaine, Billie, Barnaby, Fantoccio, and Scrimshaw all wanted her to spend some time with them.

They came to her with different activities in mind, Bella decided to form a compromise. Today, she'd go to Dutch's fancy party, since it was a yearly event. Tomorrow, she'll go to Elaine's ship to sleep over. According to V, Elaine not only wanted romantic pleasure, but also sexual pleasure. So Elaine just might be the first female Bella will ever sleep with instead of Verosika.

The next day, she'll go on the girl's night out with Billie, and get up to whatever sweet mischief she wants. Then the day after that, she'll go to Barnaby's party and grow wild with the guests. Then she'll go and spend some time Fantoccio. Finally, the last day will just her and Scrimshaw, spending some time on the beach on a nice date.

Bella didn't wanna disappoint any of them. So if the box isn't in the thrift store, she'd have to wait for another time to search. The disguised demon sighed again as she opened the door and walked in.

Immediately, she began to search. The closets, the hangers, the cabinets, the shelves. Strangely, the box was nowhere to be found. As she was looking, she heard a curious voice ask. "Are you looking for something, young lady?"

Bella turned to see an old lady at the cash register, looking at her with curiosity. "Um...yes," Bella told her. "I'm looking for a box that was shipped here. Three gemstones, had some frogs on it. Looks like this."

Bella pulled out her phone and showed the lady the photo of box Wendy sent her sometime ago. "Oh, you're looking for that," the lady looked surprised. "We did have a box that looked like that one. But that was two months ago."

"Did someone already buy it?" Bella questioned.

"No, it just disappeared," the lady explained. "Someone probably shoplifted here. I don't know who. It was here one day, and now it's gone."

"Oh..." Bella was at a loss for words, and she noticed a poster on the window besides the lady. There were five girls and a boy on the poster. The five girls seemed to be thirteen and the boy was about June's age. One was brown hair that looked like a big bush, the other had short black hair with a green clip, the third had blonde hair tied back into a ponytail, the fourth had dark brown hair tied into a ponytail, and the last one had long messy brown hair.

Three of the girls wore shirts with a shield in the center, divided into colors of blue, red, purple, and green. The fourth girl wore a white shirt with a blue vest, and the last one wore a green sweater. The boy had dark brown hair that shot upwards, and wore a orange shirt underneath a green jacket.

"Missing?" I read the words above the children in the poster. The old lady took notice of me looking at the poster and spoke.

"Oh, right," she started. "You're probably new here in Los Angeles."

"Yeah, I came here mostly to see a concert," Bella explained. "But those kids... How long have they been missing for?"

"Two months," the lady answered. "It's quite sad. Their parents are all worried sick. Yet, I find it strange that by the time they had disappeared, the box disappeared as well."
