Now that her business at Playtime Co was over with, Bella only had one last place to go for the day: Elaine's ship. Unlike her dad, Bella was a triangle of her own word. She had a promise to keep. She couldn't break her promise to Elaine.

She gave her word to everyone. There was no turning back. At least Hat Kid had her back though. Agreeing to keep an eye out for her dad in case he'd show up and ruin everything.

Bella didn't want Hat Kid to be in some danger. Who knows what Bill would do to her if he caught spying on him.  She was also worried more about the people she was seeing.

If her dad caught wind of her romantic involvements, not only would she be in big trouble, but her lovers would be in hot boiled water. Literally.

Shortly, after her gentle private moment with Catnap, Bella returned home where Hat Kid was waiting for her. As part of the arrangement, Hat Kid was gonna stay at he place for a little bit until the whole romantic schedule was done.

However, Bella remembered how cold and serious Elaine can be. Elaine probably wouldn't want Hat Kid involved in whatever things she wanted to do with Bella on her ship. Bella did remember how furious the serval was when she caught Blitzo spying on them with a video camera. She even remembered how she even tossed him into the ocean.

"Alright, this crosses Dutch off my list," Bella chuckled as she pulled out her schedule board and crossed out Dutch's name with a marker. "Now, tonight I have to go see Elaine."

"Well, progress had been good so far," Hat Kid lit up. "Even though it's been one day. As long as your dad isn't around, there's nothing else that could ruin this."

"Yeah.."  Hat Kid noticed Bella having an look on her face of concern and anxiety.

"Is something wrong?" Hat Kid questioned.

"It's just that...maybe you should just sit this one out," Bella said. "Just for once."

"What? Why?" Hat Kid raised a brow. "Why do you want me to sit this one out?"

"Believe me, I do want you to come with me and keep an eye out for my dad, but it's just...this is Elaine we're talking about," Bella started. "She can come off as cold and intimidating. There's a reason why people called her the Pirate Queen. Plus, this is a ship. So a lot of people are gonna be outside, so they're gonna see you if you stay on the roof. And they'll pretty much sniff you out if you try to look out for my dad in one of the rooms in the ship. Even if she knew you were gonna be on the ship for a little bit, I think Elaine might not like the idea of you being around her ship while she does...stuff with me. You know, the kinda stuff you shouldn't really know about unless you're a little older."

"I'm sure she'll understand," Hat Kid assured. "I'm pretty much respectful of privacy, and I'm not really that nosy. I mean, you know all I did last night was stay on the roof looking out for signs of your dad or his villains, even occasionally looking through the windows to the ballroom to see if they have perhaps snook past me. It's not like I just went ahead and saw what you and Dutch were doing in the hotel room."

"I know, but that time Dutch didn't know you were at his hotel," Bella pointed out. "Like I said, Elaine can be pretty cold. I remembered how furious she was when she saw Blitz spying on us with a camera and threw him into the ocean."

Hat Kid's body stiffed a little. "Well, just tell her about your dad," she told her. "About how he pretty much just called you up, and there's the possibility that he might end up ruining something if there's no one to see him coming and give you an alert?"

"Elaine might get really furious," Bella said, and sighed. "There's really nothing I can do to change your mind about coming along or not?"

"Nope, a deal is a deal," Hat Kid shook her head. "Besides, gotta make your dad give you some privacy."
