dark and dreary days ahead!
a wonderful dim gray sky!
crisp breathfuls of air!
a chilliness to sting your lungs!
the trembling of your roof from rain!
the pattering of drops on sidewalk!
oh, winter comes, winter comes!
cozy up in your warmest wools
and fix up a hot chocolate
this year will bring one inch of snow
and maybe three more after new year's
so come, the fog,
and come, cold sun,
let winter come, let winter come!
