Ocean clouds bring her favorite bird: gulls
City lights and trees, her crows
Rhododendrons, hummingbirds
Phone lines jays and common pigeon
Grass-dew robin, and starling, too
As well as lake eagles and river hawks
And blackbirds filling parking lots
All nest in pine or oak or spruce
I'll watch them when I'm not awake
