"Brown saddle or plaid saddle?"
I turned my gaze away from the stable. The sky over the desert was a slight aqua blue. I could assume it would be dry and sunny for a good while.
"Yeah, plaid it's gonna be. C'mon Chap, let's get you all suited up."
Chaparral, or Chap as I called him, was the little shrubland creature that I got a hold of a couple years back. He's a drake about the size of a horse, but he's small in comparison to a lot of the other shrubland creature. The shrubland is home to a whole host of huge dragons and aggressive equines.
Shrub rhinos were the worst. They're a type of unicorn, but with a horn like a saber, they terrified the hell out of little Chap. At least he was fast and maneuverable enough to get away from them if we saw them first.
Today we were setting off to a bigger town in a sandier part of the desert. With luck, we would be able to watch the raptor races before picking up the dragon bones I ordered.
The blue on the saddle would heat up quickly in the sun if I didn't sit soon, but I still had to attach the wooden sled. You can't expect us to just carry dragon bones, can you?
