Seungcheol

I looked at the mirror dressing up in casuals. I sighed, thinking how everything turned upside down in the past three days. That choice, Nishita agreed yesterday and decided to meet up today. I wonder how did she ended up agreeing, was it the same like I was given a choice or was it her choice to marry me?

“Seungcheol” I looked at my mom, I was almost done eating, and I nodded gesturing for her to continue talking. “Nishita wants to meet you tomorrow before everything is finalized about the marriage.”
“She agreed?” It was getting hard for me to digest the food, so I tried to be casual with my tone.

“She was always ready and finalizing as in the dates.” Or was she forced like me? mom? How much I wanted to ask her. No matter how much I loved my family, whatever was happening felt so wrong.

“Okay. I will go and meet her tomorrow” I finished my dinner and got up.

My mind couldn’t stop thinking about Nishita. How did we end up here like this?

I applied my cologne and wore my watch. I took my phone and car keys and then went downstairs, I was about to go out, “Going out for a date?” and stopped abruptly because of Heesung’s voice. I turned to look at him, “Who told you that?”

“Everyone’s gushing about it, you are going out on a date with Nishita.” I was surprised and just gave him the look, I mean what was his problem now? He walked towards me with his smirk, Oh god, this brother of mine is so annoying. “What now?”

“Tell Nishita I am very excited and I miss her” Since when did he start missing her? Did they even have contact with eachother or what, “Tell her yourself and I am going to meet her because she wanted to and it’s not a DATE” I specified the word, I could bet on it how he is going to be all annoying about this meeting and everything.

“Let me go or else I will be late.” She gave me a teasing look, I was used to it, “Go go, you would hate to make her wait after all.” I wonder if he knew about the reality of this marriage and the meeting. If he knew maybe his reaction would’ve been different. I didn’t want to break this whole thing to him, maybe I would tell him if my ethics and time permits me to. I shook my head and went outside.

I got into my car and started driving towards the café, I am glad she picked up a place because I didn’t know if she would like my choice of café or not and I don’t even know her preferences at all, I can just hope one thing that things don’t get too awkward between us because it would be just two of us.

Thankfully the traffic wasn’t bad while I drove towards the café. It wasn’t very far, I wonder how much time would it take for her to come. I turned on some music to relax myself.

It took almost half an hour to reach, I parked my car and got inside, I remember we booked a table.

“A table was booked under Ms. Das” The receptionist nodded and smiled at me, “This way sir” While I was walking towards the table, I noticed the girl. Dressed in black, her hair looked way too perfect, and her pearl earrings looked pretty. When I was taking my steps it felt like everything slowed down, she was focused on her phone, and looked like she was watching something serious or texting which made her smile at times. “That table sir” I nodded and she left.

I continued walking towards her, and the moment she looked up from her phone, our gazes locked. She felt like a different person from what I witnessed a few seconds ago.

“Hi”
“Hi”

I took a seat infront of her, “umm” she kept her phone on the table and looked like she was struggling to speak, “Sorry for being late” I told her simply, in a thought that she would relax but the atmosphere here right now didn’t feel like relaxing, it was more like nerve wreaking and the thick tension and the awkward air between us was like a bonus.
