As we made it back to the room, we started packing up, getting prepared to travel back home tomorrow.

Harvey turned to me and asked, "Now that you have Gabriel as a guardian, what's the next plan?

To lay baby gurl on you; It's what I had in mind, but I didn't want to say it out loud just yet. I had just eaten seafood, and although I had washed up afterward, it had yet to digest, and I hadn't used the bathroom. I didn't want any distractions when I was planning to eat Harvey.

Also, I know if I said that, it would flip a switch and I wasn't going to say no, for I was dying to know what it felt like. So, I decided to keep that thought to myself.

Getting my mind right, instead, I replied, "I want to complete my defense tools, work on getting Memi her gifts, and see if I can get her to do us some favors."

Harvey looked at me with intrigue and surprise.

I smiled but felt a hint of sadness. I moved closer to him and said, "I know I don't share a lot with you in an attempt to keep us safe, but I still want to meet you halfway. I don't want you to feel unsure or left behind in the planning process, or like I can't depend on you because I can't share certain things. I still can't tell you everything, but I promise to share what I can right now and be more clear with what I can share."

Harvey set our belongings on the table and came over to me. "You never cease to amaze me," he said, resting his head against mine.

Then he added, "There may not be a bridge to find." We shared a meaningful moment, and though I was a bit puzzled, I sensed this was more for him than for me.

When we separated, he looked at me with a newfound look. "What are the two plans?" he asked. I smiled and began to explain my ideas.

"Those are very good ideas, and I've got just the way to make this work for the latter one," Harvey said, looking at me with intrigue.

I smiled relieved knowing whatever Harvey set out to do would be fruitful.

We set to work on creating my defense tools. Harvey already had the snake venom, so we focused on crafting a sturdy holder for the blades to prevent any leaks or punctures.

Additionally, we designed a convenient pouch for easy access to the ground pepper powder. I drew up some designs to illustrate how I envisioned the setup, ensuring it could be securely strapped to my thigh and discreetly hidden beneath my clothes.

I then said, "Can we go gathering and hunting? I need some herbs to make soap, and can you catch me a sheep? There's a part of the body, the fat part called tallow, that I need to make soaps. It usually takes about a week to make."

"Yes, of course. Let's go," Harvey agreed. We walked out, and poor John was walking back with lumps on his head. It was hard not to giggle - he looked like the cutest, saddest little puppy.

"Imara, they bullied me. It's not fair... They all feel the same. But don't worry, I'll beat them next time. They're just mad I called dibs first. They're like scared, short birds!" John explained.

I burst out laughing and quickly hid behind Harvey, finding his reaction absolutely adorable. Also, because he looked like a comedic beanbag and I couldn't take it.

John was beaming at me, clearly proud of making me laugh. "See, I make her laugh!" John exclaimed triumphantly.

Steve joined the scene, "You're a short bird!" He pushed John, and the two of them started a scuffle, "aye, aye, aye, aye," that only made me laugh even harder. It reminded me of the crabs from Finding Nemo.

Meanwhile, Frank was standing by, waiting for his moment to tackle them, and Nicholas had his hand over his face, presumably in exasperation or embarrassment.
