Finally, we made it to the SMUT! 🤧😭
Spiciness Ahead! 🌶🥵
Throughout the week, Harvey and the guys truly went above and beyond. Our bed was completed exactly as I envisioned it—sturdy, comfortable, and inviting. Our room was furnished just the way I liked it, making it feel like a cozy retreat. The hut itself was expanded to include a medicine room for Harvey, giving him a dedicated space to care for patients. The rooms were outfitted with full-size beds.
The production of items exceeded all our expectations. We had an abundance of hairbrushes and comb sets, each paired with its own box for safekeeping. The handmade underwear and harnesses were impressive, showing off the guys' craftsmanship. They even managed to craft another bed for sale, and it was beautifully made.
Harvey diligently attended his morning lessons, always eager to learn. I joined in to absorb as much as possible, sharing what little knowledge I had from my life before. Techniques like CPR, poultice preparation, basic emergency surgery, and the importance of sterilization were second nature to me, but I knew they were new concepts here.
Whenever I shared something, Harvey looked at me as though I were a higher being, his admiration shining brightly in his eyes. I quickly reminded him that it was simple, basic information—nothing extraordinary. But Harvey, ever the optimist, would remind me of how much he could do with even the smallest bit of knowledge. His enthusiasm made me smile, and I was glad to know that this information could help save lives.
After the lessons, Harvey would encourage me to return to bed for some much-needed rest. When I woke up, everything was always ready and waiting for me—my toiletries, a warm meal, fresh water, snacks, clean clothes, and even the tub filled for my bath. Harvey's thoughtfulness and care never ceased to touch my heart.
Outside, the guys were equally busy. They put up a fence around our property and built a coop for the chickens we planned to raise. They worked tirelessly from morning until late into the evening. Since I couldn't convince them to stop or even slow down, I took on the role of keeping them fed and hydrated. I cooked hearty meals, brought them cool drinks, and made sure we all took breaks to relax and bond. We laughed, shared stories, and got to know each other better. It truly felt like we were becoming a big family.
I couldn't help but think of ways to give back to them. I started planning simple games for us to play in the future—checkers, volleyball, and even a training track with challenges like ninja stars, soccer, and football. I wanted to give them moments of fun and joy after all their hard work.
At first, I worried I was doing too much, but Harvey reassured me with his steady confidence. "Whatever we build can always be taken down and moved," he said. "Nothing we create here is a waste."
Together, we began discussing ideas to share what we were learning. We planned to create courses for males and females alike, teaching hygiene practices, how to build houses like ours, how to farm and cultivate crops, and how to forage sustainably without depleting the land. These were small steps, but they could make a big difference in improving life for everyone in Camel Hump.
We planned to explain the purpose of the wagon as part of our community efforts. I'd start by demonstrating bathing practices with the females at the south side lake, offering them samples of the products I'd made. Once they were interested, we could sell the other items. To make it more appealing, I prepared gift baskets with soap, pads, and a pair of underwear.
Harvey and the guys would help by teaching others how to make underwear, cotton pads, simple meals, and even furniture. Some of the lessons and items would be free, while others would require trade or a fee. I left it to Harvey to decide how he wanted to handle it.
