Another Early Release 😚
Story:
By the time I woke up, Harvey was already out, preparing for the move and taking care of last-minute details. The accumulation of items had almost tripled since I arrived - furs, crystals, products, building materials, food, herbs, vegetables - you name it, I had it. Another wagon had to be built to accommodate it all.
My bestie, Memi, wasn't here as she was preparing for King Calum's return. He sent a bird ahead to say he'll be home within a few days. With all the things I invented, she wanted items made to showcase and experience new things with him. The main one being the bed. Materials were sent in advance for the bed. James and her other mates were currently at the castle with a plethora of building assignments.
Me and the guys worked on last-minute things, and what I ended up doing was setting up visits once I was stationed in my new home for the ladies and their mates to visit, for Harvey's medical mentorship to continue, among preparing for future events.
Things have been so busy for a while ever since I came back to Camel Hump. All houses were completely finished, and I have to say it looked very well crafted. They dug a canal to divert the flow of the flash floods.
In preparation for everything, I've been utterly exhausted. Classes ended a week ago, but there was still much to do, and we haven't even picked a house yet. I really didn't want to stay in the City, but I pledged to save as many lives as possible before the doom and destruction of the city. To achieve that, I need to establish a presence in the city and make myself known.
I felt very accomplished; Camel Hump was prospering even better than before, with agriculture implemented and improved living conditions in stabilized homes. We were a family, friends, moving in unity.
Harvey and the guys insisted I take a break, so I stayed home and slept in. Everything was packed, and they just needed to load things up and make another wagon. This led to them being out all day.
The girls came over to say goodbye.
Katie said, "Imara, I'm going to miss you!" as she hugged and patted my butt. It was her favorite thing to do now.
I rubbed her head and said, "I'm going to miss you too, my crazy girl, and I'm going to miss all of you," as I looked at the girls with sad faces.
I felt some small sadness in my heart too. I said, "But it's not goodbye; you all can always visit me. Just send word, and we can plan it out."
Sarah said, "Yeah, it just won't be the same. You've changed my life, and it's going to be kind of lonely not seeing you come down the road saying 'Hey babes, sweetie pies,' or giving hugs while holding your hands out and smiling that pretty smile of yours," as she hugged me tightly. I hugged her back.
May said, "I agree," as she choked up. I got up and said, "Oh May, don't cry, you're going to make me cry," as I hugged her and wiped her tears.
"I can't help it. You shouldn't be so kind, so loving, I feel like I'm losing something very important to me," she cried even more. I started getting teary-eyed and hugged her more.
Eve expressed, "I've learned so much, and I believe I've been making the right decisions since I met you. I never thought it was right for females to be mean, and I didn't really know how to help beyond saying small things. I used to think that as long as we produced kids and didn't kill each other, that was all I could do. But now I realize I can contribute more and be more than just a mother. I can be Eve and make a difference," as she tried her best to suppress her emotions and not cry.
