I stood up from his lap and stated, "That's all for now. I'll explain the remaining details in due time. Let's go about our tasks. Do you have any patients scheduled?"

He responded, "Actually, no, I don't. So let's begin working on the items you need and gather some herbs.

Additionally, I'll work on creating a scent-masking herb for your estrous cycle, and I'll gather some cotton to clean and make into cloth for you. Since you experience your cycle monthly, does it occur around the same time each month?"

"I would say it depends. But generally, I fall within the 21-22 days range. I've already had my cycle for this month and I will have my heat somewhere in the middle of next month" I explained.

Harvey nodded and said, "Understood. Let's prepare to head out. Just be cautious. I will hunt for snakes, and you can stay close to me. We are relatively safe being part of the leopard tribe under Parker's father and in the proximity of the City of Beast."

I didn't voice my thoughts aloud, but in my mind, I couldn't help but acknowledge that even though yeah we might be considered safe here or whatever, but a four-striped beastmen feral snake is like literally down by the lake.

My curiosity about this world was there, but I wasn't the type to recklessly wander off on my own and naively and say "Nah, you guys don't have to come, I've got this," or "I'll just be right over here." That's that bullshit for the protagonists in stories to be doing not me.

I had no intention of putting myself in unnecessary danger. If I wasn't with someone, I wasn't going anywhere. This world had proven to be unpredictable and dangers and my survival skills aren't exactly superhero level, and I'm not keen on learning that the hard way.

I nodded in agreement and responded, "Absolutely." Stepping outside, I glanced up at the sky. There hung a Golden Moon accompanied by two other Moons.

It was an oddly disorienting sight, one that always seemed to trigger a sense of unease and detachment within me

It was an oddly disorienting sight, one that always seemed to trigger a sense of unease and detachment within me. Every time I gazed at those celestial bodies, it served as a reminder that I wasn't on Earth or home anymore. A  sickness and sadness would rise within me, and I'd almost feel like I was hovering outside my own body. It was a feeling that could easily spiral into hyperventilating, so I had to consciously work to calm myself back down whenever it hit me.

Although I found a sense of happiness in my current situation, I couldn't help but feel a pang of longing for my family, friends, and the life I had left behind.

There was a certain security there that this place just couldn't replicate. My anxiety, which was already quite intense, seemed to be even more here.

The environment was more dangerous, competitive, and charged with testosterone. I didn't really feel at ease, unlike the complacency of ease I sometimes felt on Earth.

Here, forming friendships for venting or sharing became a challenge. The majority of females around were anything but supportive—spoiled, wild, heathens, and quite the handful.
