The sudden sound of Qean's voice, filled with fiery protectiveness and frustration, echoed through the house.

"Why hasn't she come down yet?! You beasts, lay off of her! What's wrong with y'all?! Huh?! You think she's just made for that, huh?! Has she even eaten?! Huh? I'm going to see her, and I dare you to stop me!"

Her voice grew louder with each step she took, stomping up the stairs in a fury. "Imara!"

Hearing her, I couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Qean, my pretty one, I am alright," I called out, just as she burst through the door, her eyes darting over me, scanning for any signs of distress.

Once she was satisfied that I was fine, she let out a relieved sigh but wasted no time in scolding me.

"Imara, you can't let them mate with you too much! It's not good for your health, and Harvey should know better! You should stand up for yourself more. Don't you know that? Huh?!"

Her concern, laced with exasperation, only made me laugh harder.

I reached out, patting the bed beside me. "Yes, yes, I know," I assured her, trying to ease her worries.

But Qean wasn't convinced.

"Doesn't sound like it. Do I have to tell them about themselves? Because I will. They can't keep you locked up like this, and you shouldn't be so accommodating. They'll take advantage if you let them."

Her words came from experience—I could see it in her eyes. As the only female in her tribe, she had likely felt this way many times. Her protectiveness warmed my heart.

I wrapped my arms around her in gratitude. "Thank you for caring about me, Qean."

She huffed playfully, pushing me away. "Who cares about you, huh?" But the smile lighting up her face betrayed her teasing words.

I giggled. "I promise I wasn't being hounded."

Qean's eyebrows shot up in disbelief.

"Then why have you been cooped up here since yesterday? It's late in the day already. Don't lie to me, Imara."

Her persistence made it clear—she cared deeply and wanted to make sure I wasn't losing myself in all of this.

"I swear, I didn't even mate with them today," I insisted, holding my hands up in defense.

She leaned in, eyes narrowing. "Imara, do you think I'm dumb? You've been up here all day. I came earlier, but Horace wouldn't let me through, and I heard you. Then I left and came back, and you were still up here. If you're going to lie, at least make it a good one." She rolled her eyes, arms crossed.

"I'm not lying," I said between giggles. "As you can see, I'm fully dressed. If we had done it, I'd be naked as a short bird."

"Imara!" she gasped, her expression a mix of shock and amusement.

I decided to fess up, fluttering my lashes playfully. "I was just getting some head," I teased, my smile wide.

I gestured towards my lower half, my hand shaped like I was holding a head. "It really helps with stress, you know. Helps you sleep better too. You should try it with Wilbard."

Then, leaning in with a wink, I added, "And guess what? You won't even get a mate mark from it."

Qean's face instantly turned bright red.

"You wild girl, you really let them do that?!" she shrieked, standing up so fast it made me laugh even harder.

"Yep, I do. It's amazing, put me right to sleep, its even better to sit on their faces and use their noses to stimulate your clit too..." I confessed, as I held my face from the thrilling flahbacks, and smiling at her reaction.
