I looked into Harvey's concerned eyes, appreciating his protective nature. I took a deep breath and began to explain.

"Well, I tripped and was about to fall, but Frank and Nicholas caught me. In the process, Frank's hand accidentally touched my mate mark.

It triggered something... strange. It was like a flood of memories and emotions from both you and Frank. I saw moments from Frank's memories but felt your presence. It was overwhelming, but it didn't last long. I'm still not entirely sure what happened, but I'm okay now, I promise."

Harvey's face softened with relief. "I'm so glad you're okay," he said, holding me close. "But please, be careful. I can't bear the thought of you getting hurt." He kissed my forehead gently, his concern understandable.

"When you spoke to me, I could hear it in my head.. what made you do that?"

Harvey exhaled and said, "I was really worried about why you were this close to him and why he was able to touch your mark and see his memories. So, I just communicated but it came through my mind, just off instinct, and you heard me."

I nodded, still in awe of the newfound connection. "It was incredible, Harvey. But also a little overwhelming."

Harvey nodded in agreement, "It looks like we're going to have to be more careful because now we know you can see others' memories and be in that state of vulnerability around others who are not your mate. We're going to have to figure out how to control it, if possible, or maintain it."

"I agree. We'll have to observe how this ability develops over time. Plus, it completely drains me. I have no strength left. I was already tired, but this takes it to a new level. Just standing and assuring the guys I was okay felt like a monumental task. I had to fake it. I definitely need to work on building up my endurance," I said, releasing a heavy sigh as I reclined on the bed.

Harvey then climbed over me, rubbing his head and ears against my hands and arms. He started rolling his body over mine, and I couldn't help but giggle, thoroughly confused.

"What are you doing-" Before I could finish, he flipped me over and continued his rolling. Laughter bubbled up within me, caught entirely off guard.

"It's too many male scents over you and in this house. I have to get rid of it," he explained.

I was too tired to argue, finding his leopard-like possessiveness endearing. I let him have his way; it was both amusing and sweet to see this side of him.

I was really tired because when I woke up, it was the next day. I was in my muu-muu and under some furs. Harvey must have changed me. I even missed Harvey getting out of bed.

I got up, freshened up, and got dressed. When I came out, there was food and drink on the table. I smiled, sat down, and ate.

When I came out, there were building materials everywhere.

I asked, "What's going on, my love?"

Harvey looked at me, and my heart fluttered. He was so fine. He was really filling out more. His shoulders widened; did he get taller? His walk was always calm and suave, but now it has this manly power to it, like he's on a mission.

It's as if he's evolving, looking more refined, more sexy. Trying to keep my mind right and focus, I closed my eyes and breathed out.

He smiled and walked closer, saying, "Getting ready to build the house on a higher platform," as he reached out to me tilted my face up, and rubbed his thumbs over my face.

I nodded with my eyes closed and chanted to myself, "Think clean thoughts." I said, "Wonderful."

I heard the concern in his voice. "My love, look at me, are you alright?" As he nuzzled my face with his.
