Memi and the other girls decided to stay for a few days, so we arranged to stay in the house I had recently purchased across the way.

The guards and guys had worked tirelessly every day to transform it into exactly what I envisioned—my very own she-shed, a perfect little getaway.

Waking up in this new space felt refreshing. It was a sanctuary just for us. The ladies and I were pampered by our partners, who delivered anything we wanted, allowing us to completely relax.

We spent our time sewing, chatting, and mentally preparing for the heavy rain season ahead. Eve let her males take care of the cubs, while Jean found a cozy spot in my lap. Everyone unanimously adored the idea of the she-shed.

Sara broke the comfortable silence, her voice filled with contentment. "Imara, I love this. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate my guys, but it's so nice not to be bothered and just... be."

Eve leaned back, eyes closed, a peaceful smile on her face. "Imara, this is exactly what we needed. It's such a relief not to focus on anything but ourselves for a while."

"I know, right?" I replied, nodding. "We love our relationships, but sometimes you just need a break—from all the personalities, responsibilities, and constant presence.

It's about having space to just breathe. Everyone needs a moment of peace now and then.

Especially me. When I'm on my cycle, I'm not exactly the best company," I added with a laugh. "That's why this she-shed is perfect—close enough to feel safe but still our own little haven."

The girls murmured their agreement, their faces reflecting relief and gratitude.

"You ladies are always welcome here," I assured them. "Whenever you need a break, a meal, or just a place to relax, this she-shed is yours too."

Jean, her head resting comfortably in my lap, chimed in thoughtfully. "This is really nice. I'll definitely come down here every now and then for a change of scenery.

It's not just a space—it's a reminder that we're more than our roles in the community. I'm definitely bringing this idea back to Camel Hut. Maybe we can create something similar there."

"That's not a bad idea at all," I said, warming to the concept. "A she-shed would be a wonderful addition to Camel Hut. It's more than just a building; it's a statement of our independence and a reminder to care for ourselves."

Bai smiled softly. "It reminds me so much of home."

The conversation flowed effortlessly as we discussed the empowerment and sense of peace the she-shed provided. It wasn't just a building—it was a symbol of respect for our own needs and desires.

A knock at the door broke the peaceful moment. Harvey's voice followed, announcing, "Qean is here."

I raised an eyebrow, surprised. I hadn't expected her to seek me out, especially after our last interaction. I thought I'd have to find her eventually, now that she didn't see me as a threat.

Curiosity piqued, I made my way to the door. When I opened it, I was greeted by her somewhat flustered expression.

"My pretty thing," I teased, watching a blush creep across her cheeks.

Her response was a mix of defensiveness and an attempt to downplay her visit. "I was just looking for my cloak I wore the other day. I happened to be in this part of the city. AAI'm a very busy woman, you know."

I smiled, chuckling lightly. "Yes, yes, understood. Have you found your cloak?"

She shook her head, avoiding my gaze slightly. "No, I haven't. Have you seen it?" Shaking my head, I gestured for her to come in. "Let's look for it together."
