Imara let me caress and kiss her mate mark, a gesture that filled me with a deep sense of belonging and happiness.

I rested against her, feeling content, but our peaceful moment was gently interrupted when Harvey entered with purpose. He was here to keep his promise to Imara—to wash her hair, something she had specifically asked him to do.

His presence wasn't an intrusion; it was a natural part of the closeness we all shared.

He told me to watch closely, explaining how important it was for me to learn how to care for her hair properly.

Wanting to get everything right, I focused, determined to learn and do it the way she needed.

As Imara leaned back, trusting Harvey with the task, I shifted to the end of the tub, where her feet rested in the warm water.

I took the opportunity to care for her in my own way, gently washing her feet, legs, and thighs. Every movement was a reminder of how much I cherished her.

Then Harvey spoke, his calm voice breaking the silence.

"So, let's talk," he said, and immediately, both Imara and I turned our attention to him.

We knew these moments weren't just about physical care but also about strengthening our emotional and spiritual bond through open conversation.

Harvey's tone grew more serious. "You know Imara comes from a different world, with different customs about mates. But let's talk about our plans and what she wants for the future."

I wasn't expecting what came next.

Imara had been using something from her world to prevent pregnancy. My surprise must have shown, because Harvey didn't wait for me to ask questions.

"The substance she takes is a type of birth control," he explained.

I turned to Imara, and for a moment, I saw nervousness flicker in her eyes. I reached down and gently rubbed her ankle, hoping to ease her worries.

"Don't be nervous," I said softly. "I'm just surprised, that's all."

I needed her to know that I wasn't upset—just caught off guard.

Curious, I asked, "Do you not want cubs?"

It was a big question, touching on our future together.

She shifted slightly, giving Harvey space to continue detangling her hair, his fingers moving carefully through each strand.

"Not right now," she replied simply, though her words carried a weight of thoughts and emotions beneath them.

Her answer opened the door to a deeper conversation about what she wanted and what our future might look like.

Harvey then shared a plan he had put in place— a special soup he had made with ingredients that helped prevent pregnancy while keeping her healthy.

"This is why, when we mate, I withdraw," he explained. "And I suggest you do the same."

A wave of unease washed over me. I hadn't followed that advice during our first time last night, only changing my approach in the second and third rounds.

Sensing my worry, Harvey spoke again, his tone reassuring.

"Your first time was inevitable; don't let it bother you," he said, offering comfort.

He continued, "The soup works well, but it has its limits. It can't fully prevent pregnancy if there's too much to counteract.

Excessive consumption to prevent pregnancy isn't advisable, as too much of anything can be harmful."
